Solar system with tracker

Photos not showing

Ali,

Thanks a lot. But the photos hardly show any detail.

Please take a better set of photos. It will help to convince the skeptics that this is easy enuff and can be replicated.

@topic.

the Ali pics show that its an adjustable tilt frame, not rotatable...the sun angle can be vertically adjusted but not horizontally.. not a tracker.. just manual vertical angular adjustment.

I already mentioned in previous post that I can tilt and I didn't said that it's rotatable etc...

I also had installed two panels in window panes to get power when sun sets or after 4 pm when there's not enough light on main panels but that two panels never gave much current as they had to do.

it was a bad idea because after 4 pm the intensity of light goes too low

so also hang those on top with other panels

I would try to post but posting a photo here is really headache

It was captured from mobile I would try to get detailed pics with other camera

Lets start with single axis which is one step better than having a fixed system. With solar systems proliferating fast it would be in the public interest to start with tiltable frames which can easily be manufactured locally.

The real adventurous spirits can go for dual axis heliostats.

I'm going to to install a additional Panel in near future InsAllah. I want it to be a manually adjusted mount. Panel dimension are

1595 x 801 x 40mm (62.8 x 31.5 x 1.57in)

Some of the desgins I have looked at are

  • adjustable%20solar%20mounting.jpg
  • ballast2.jpg

and

last design is pole mounted which isn't feasible for me.

The 1st one is the easiest and most practical to install... it doesnot have the vertical height but it very easy to mount and grout and very very adjustable and practical..also way cheap than pillar mount cz of much less iron.

the problem is designing the mount to specifications.

Where can I find "Strut channel" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strut_channel in Lahore and what is the cost ?

if available, multan road and ferozpur road..

it is not possible to find urself.. your welder will make it fully for you.

This video is a must watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnwTqx-INes.

He has also outlined a simple sundial/ solar clock method to check whether the system works.

One question, why can we go with a simple pulley attached to a DC motor. Like the one army use to control the barricades

Thanks. what price I can expect ? According to their website they also sell second-hand racks.

Nice song

A Solar Tracker (Single/ dual axis) consist of :

  • A Frame / mount
  • a Single Actuator (Single axis) / 2x Actuators (Dual axis)
  • pyranometer / lightsensor (simple kits ava. from Hall road in lahore, and other electronics markets in Pakistan)
  • Control Box (relays and electronic circuit etc)

What is ava. locally ?

Genius, It can't be simpler than this

youtube videos dont work for everyone.. not everyone uses hotspot..
