Le 1, Le 1 Pro, Le Max Smartphones With Octa-Core SoCs

LeTV isn’t the familiar brand in western countries. To give hint about this company, this is the same company, which compared Apple with Hitler for its high price tags. Due to this public announcement, LeTV came into lime light. The same company announced total three smartphones today – Le 1, Le 1 Pro, Le Max. All three smartphones comes at affordable cost with almost no compromises onboard. Everything seems perfect and feels top-notch. It bags few records too, these are the first USB Type-C smartphones. Yes..the similar one found in The new MacBook and Google ChromeBook Pixel (2015) but it is micro version to that bigger USB Type-C port. All the devices made up of pure brushed aluminum. The designers of these phones might be inspired by “multiple” popular smartphones. Lets jump into the specs and find out what all those surprises are.

LeTV Le Max:

LeTV Le Max is the massive phablet in Le series devices. It packs ridiculously big 6.33-inch display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. Under the hood, it is powered by tried and true 64-bit Snapdragon 810 chip, which coupled with 4GB DDR4 RAM, the same GPU you can also find in Samsung Galaxy S6 and LG G Flex 2. It will ship with 64GB/128GB eMMC 5.0 internal storages but no option to expand it further but it will be enough to store even large files. Le Max runs on unknown Android version with EUI on top.

The device comes with Sony made 21MP IMX230 rear camera with Dual LED flash. This is insane camera sensor with support of 192-point Auto Focus, which has ability to focus extremely fast. The sensor supports OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and has f/2.0 aperture. It even supports Dual ISP signal processing. There will be 4MP Ultra Pixel front shooter. The surprises not yet over, the connectivity options including 4G LTE with Cat.9 support (thumbs up), Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n with Dual band support, Wireless HDMI support, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS.

In addition, the device sports Finer Print sensor, which located at rear side of the device. It reminds us Huawei Ascend Mate 7. LeTV has barrowed major design queues from all popular devices, which is bit odd to hear but the end result is more than acceptable. This is the world’s first USB Type-C (with USB 2.0 support) smartphone. Users can plug-in charger from either side. There is LeHI-FI audio support using dedicated audio chip made by AKG so we can expect marked performance in audio department. The whole device is powered by 3400mAh/3500mAh battery.

Pricing and Color options:

The LeTV Le Max will be available in Gold and Silver colors. As soon as the pricing concern, LeTV has announced a crazy new idea that the price will be decided based on peoples voting so we have to wait for few more days to get final price.

LeTV Le 1 Pro:

This is much compact smartphone when compared to gigantic Le Max but don’t expect it to be measure below 5-inches. It is still not suitable for one handed use since the device packs 5.5-inch display. Although, the users won’t miss that crazy high 2560 x 1440 resolution. Le 1 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 810 chip with Adreno 430 GPU and 4GB DDR4 RAM. There will be new 32GB version along with 64GB maxed out version. It runs on same Android based EUI.

The Le 1 Pro falls bit short when comes to camera department. It packs 13MP Sony made IMX 214 sensor with OIS enabled so it should produce better pictures. There will be LED flash to optimize the low-light photography. Users will get 4MP OmniVision OV4668 sensor at front for Selfies. Talking about connectivity, it offers 4G LTE, Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n with Dual band support, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. Just like its bigger sibling, the Le 1Pro comes with USB Type-C with MHL 3.0 support. To add more, the same LeHi-Fi custom DAC chip will take care audio performance here also. It packs slightly smaller 3000mAh battery but it should get you through entire working day without need to plug-in your charger.

The LeTV Le 1 Pro has been priced similar and slightly higher than Xiaomi Mi Note Pink Edition and Mi Note Natural Bamboo Edition. The 32GB variant will cost you 2499 Yuan (~US$400) and 64GB will cost you 2699 Yuan (~US$435).

LeTV Le 1:

We would say, this is a cheaper version for Le 1Pro. The name itself suggests this. The Le 1 offers same 5.5-inch display but the QHD resolution has downgraded to Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. It is powered by MediaTek Helio X10 Octa-core chip clocked at 2.2GHz per core, which is same chip you can find in HTC One M9+. The CPU has backed up by 3GB of RAM and PowerVR SGX series GPU. It comes with 16GB/32GB/64GB storage options.

The camera also different from what you have seen above, there will be 13MP OIS enabled rear shooter with Dual Tone flash for accurate skin tones. 5MP front camera should be enough to upload your Selfies to Social media. The device has packed same 3000mAh battery.

The LeTV Le 1 is priced at 1499 yuan (~US$240) for 16GB, 1599 Yuan (~US$ 258) for 32GB and 1799 Yuan (~US$ 270) for 64GB variant.

These smartphones will be headed to United States. All three smartphones are by far the best value for money devices that anyone can buy but we will have to consider the brand value and after sales service before going to consider these smartphones. Let us know what is your opinion on well these powerful affordable smartphones ?
