# Comparing Haier and Dawlance refrigerators

I want to make choice b/w Haier and Dawlance 11Cft or 12 Cft refrigerator. I'm especially conscious about energy consumption. Any help would be valuable. Thanks

Yar I dont know know about energy cosumption but quality wise Dawlance are better then Haier

Dawelence is pathetic. Personal experience, every now and then there is a new issue in it

Haier has given following statistics for their 11 Cft refrigerator

Watts(W)/Current(A) : 180/1.1

Electric consumption per 24 hour : 1.3

But I can't find such info about Dawlance.

Pardon for my short knowledge. But shouldn’t it be like:

(180 watts) x (24 hours) = 4320 watts per day

(4320 watts) x (30 days) = 129600 watts in a month

(129600 watts) / (1000 watts) = 129.6 Units of electricity consumption is a month

129.6 x 7.5 (average WAPDA rate) = Rs. 972 for running that refrigerator for a month

129.6 x 10 (usual WAPDA rate) = Rs. 1296 per month for that refrigerator

I haven’t included taxes. Final bill will be more than that.

@wampyr

could you show the above using KESC rates

Dear Wampyr

I didn't calculated any thing below. Just copy pasted from Haier brochure. I don't what they mean by Watts/Current.

Can you calculate the electricity cost by if consumption is 1.3 A per 24 hour.

i have recently brought dawlance inverter seris refregrator working awsome.with so much energy saving. it only consumes 75 watts when on compressor otherwise zero ampere ..feeling happy to buy that..
