CD/DVD Burning Software

Any suggestions on which CD+DVD burning software on Windows Vista?

The bundled Nero 7 i got, doesn't seem to install on Vista. Is Nero the best? If not, then I would prefer to use some other.

Everyone have their own choice of software. I personally use ImgBurn. It's freeware software and suites all of my needs.

Get it from official website:

the windows own burner is enough for me as i dont burn much :P

the fastest one...for burning DVD's..??It takes a lot of time to burn a DVD>>>

^a DVD+R with 16x writing speed is done in about 6-7 mins with nero

1X = 150 KB for CD ROM

1X = ???? for DVD ROMS

any body know about it?

Write speed for Single Layer DVD+R

1X = 1.32 MB/s

2X = 2.64 MB/s

4X = 5.28 MB/s

8X = 10.56 MB/s

16X = 21.12 MB/s

Whenever I try to burn a Video DVD, every software asks for a paid version (Like Nero, Real etc.,). Is there any good and fast freeware to burn Video DVDs.

If you’re looking for a freeware then use ImgBurn: http://www.imgburn.com/

get nero 9... i bet its vista supported...

edit: i confirm its vista supported

I am using ImgBurn as my DVD burning software and DVD decrypter to burn my ISO files. They are both for free and it should run okay with your vista OS. I also recommend Super Clone, also very intersting burning software that I recently bought. Hope these helps. :D

if you dont wana pirate it try any of the good ones available on sourceforge.net

Also, i haven't later mentioned in that thread, but I've been using ImgBurn from over a year now, it has all the essential features, and it really turned out to be the best of them all for me. (Thanks again Wampyr :D)

ImgBurn is very good, have been using it for a couple of years, no bloatware like Nero, though it can do without the mariachi band playing every time it finishes burning a disc.
