commercial airliner has reportedly crashed in Indonesia.
There are fears the plane, which was on its way to Singapore, may have been a Qantas Airbus A380 jet, the NZ Herald reports.
A police chief has been quoted on Indonesia's TVOne as saying debris had been found on Batam Island, about 20km off Singapore's south coast.
Witnesses also reported hearing an explosion as the jet flew overhead — but there has been no official confirmation of a plane crash.
Update: Thanks God it makes an emergency landing.
