Young pakistani inventor

YOUNG PAKISTANI INVENTOR WAQAR is from LAHORE There is no dearth of talent in Pakistan but lack of government support and non-availability of a proper platform are few factors which bar talented people from displaying their skills. exclusive interview with a young inventor from Lahore, who had never been discovered before.

No offence to the guy, as he seems enthusiastic, but those things don't qualify as "inventions". The electrical appliance controlling system especially is a pretty simple thing to make if you know a bit of electronics and computers.

Nonetheless, nice.

Puh-lease... You could call it a novice electronics project, not an invention.

If this is an invention, regular EE's are Einstein, Newton, Maxwell and Leonardo Da Vinci rolled into one. :D

What I state above might seem conceited to you but it is the truth. Yes, there are some very advanced things being done in Pakistan but they either aren't highlighted or they can't be highlighted. This isn't either of them.

^Agreed to above both of you. BUt it s pretty well for a local with a limited budget.

What was the desktop environment he was using?

Some are “highlighted above” in bold part. :P

Did you know about participation of Pakistani students at CERN? These are BE/BS level students same as this guy.

one or the other, everything is linked, he is the man, and he deserves the right to be called as inventor. well done. i watched this on tv sometime ago.

Its not an invention, just a Low-fi version of a pre-existing concept.

Talian :)

There were lots of projects reported in print and electronic media, someone claiming to invent something but in fact almost all are forgotten after couple of days. Last year someone engineered a Tube Well run by an Ox, another created a 10x10' room sized 70MW generator @ total cost of only 7 million with only 10% running cost of existing systems etc etc. Where are all those projects?
