I am using two 500GB (internal; 3.5" SATA) hard drives manufactured by Western Digital for more than five years in a low-usage NAS. It is time to upgrade the hard drives, and I am looking at 2 TB or 3 TB hard drives.
My regular computer shop wala has told me that the WD hard drives are "short" in the market (along with some warranty issues), and he is promoting Seagate. What do forum members say about Seagate hard drives?
My experience with the WD hard drives has been very good. Does anyone know if there is something wrong with the WD sales and after-sales network?
Can forum members also recommend some good (physical) computer shops in Karachi for purchasing hard drives?
