Horrible Bosses 2 (2014)

9/10 - Absolutely hilarious! The first one was pretty good itself, but this one is even better. Best comedy movie of the year by far. Favorited!

Lucy (I) (2014)

8/10 - I completely agree with Faisal on this one. Awesome movie! Yes it seems illogical and nonsensical (to us humans) but it's absolutely attractive and absorbing. The concepts are mesmerizing and makes you ponder. So yeah, it's a good movie in my book. The ending sequence was overdone IMO, but it was gorgeous, so it had that going for it, which was nice.

The Maze Runner (2014)

7/10 - It's not what i wanted it to be. Based on the name of the movie, i was expecting some intelligent puzzle-solving based survival movie like The Cube, but instead it turned out about some dumb isolated kids figuring out a way to escape by retardedly running around the "maze", of which we never see much dimensions of. And i disagree with Farhan on it being better than Divergent. IMO that was much better than this even though the plot is different enough. I'm starting to wonder if Farhan is some kind of misogynist who can't appreciate a movie with a female lead. :P

Boyhood (I) (2014)

6/10 - I don't know what i was expecting when i watched it... I guess I got blinded by the high rating on IMDB into thinking it must be some heart-warming movie like The Way Way Back from last year (loved that, see my review). Instead it turned out like a video diary of a kid growing up (oh wait, it's a coming of age movie, damnit, should've paid more attention to the plot). Seriously, it's not a "movie" per say, there's no descriptive plot, instead it's almost like a video-description of what the life of a average american kid is like (actually, change that to weirdo american kid, cause the protagonist is really just that). The worst part is that it's almost bollywood length, so it just keeps dragging on and on... Point is, don't watch it expecting some feel-good movie. There's barely anything to smile at.

@above

1 - I absolutely love Horrible bosses 1.. will wait for full 1080p without HC.. this is amazing series

2 - Since you said
Yes it seems illogical and nonsensical (to us humans) but it's absolutely attractive and absorbing
and so it does..

if you had bothered to read and understand (which seems is getting difficult for you everyday) what i had said in previous post, Lucy had very poor acting.very poor direction, and totally out of place in chronology of the MAIN film.(not the ending)

as for being illogical, even terminator would see illogical but atleast it ha SOME realistic feet to stand on.. robots were being invented in 1900s and time travel is a concept we can wrap our minds to even though it may seem technically impossible. why lucy becoming everything in the entire universe and beyond, doesnot make any sense, even if you are a believer of God creationism or evolution or aliens. lucy went beyond aliens and from what? a common street drug?

a simple drug taken in 500 gram dose would kill you.. first it would even kill you to have any solid released in your organ directly and without it being turned into a slution OUTSIDE of human body for consumption will block your blood evessels, give you an instant ciculatrory failure, instant poisoning, forign body granuoma would even localise and destroy the drug before it reaches target site... a DIC, a CCF, and multitude on instant kills. there is a BBB in circulation which doesnot allow anything insoluble in CCF to pass to brain even if it overdoses.. there was no mention that drug was lipid soluble or water soluble, preferably would be water soluble so it could be swallowed or taken as injection IV..

secondly, where did the plastic bag go which it was wrapped in. .before her surgery the ruptured bag was all in place and dinot produce any infection or immune reaction? even when dug got activated.. how does any drug going inside human body produce ANTI GRAVITY? does evenry cell of her body got seperated from each other and become air? even if it did BECOME as light as air, air has weight, and air will always come down due to weight due to gravity.. only hot air goes up, and then cools immediately and comes down.. air canot and doesnot exist 8km above eartch surface for exact same reason..GRAVITY.. a drug absorbed inside body and meant fro just a brain sealed inside a skull can by pass all the common laws of physics?

furthermore, even if this drug was absorbed, no amount of absorbale drug in a circulatory system can produce any genetic change.. genetic changes are produced inside organs after they have recieved the mutagen from the blood vessels. (read above)..genetic change on such large cale is only possible by full organ/ body radiation which would produce an effect in every cell of a large organ for long duration and high intensity over a long duration of hours and days in which time every cell will burn and eveaporate from it..

also genetic changes in a coulpe of cells is usually harmless and boddy immune system kills it..,, in a million or so cells together will be a cancer, and even if each and EVERY cell in your body is mutated, then you end up looking like the creatures from "Amnesia game" or something from hellraiser or any other alienistic horror slasher movie..you would turn into a completely different oragnism, not an english speaking human with female anatomy and organs.. even 3 chromosomes change will turn her into a baboon...

and oh my god, even by letting everything go, that only brain was working at 100% efficiency, even then first her brain would explode due to lack of space due to incresed blood supply to feed it nutrition to work at that capacity.... she would require atleast 10 litres of oxygenated blood per second flowing thru her skull. secondly, she didnot eat anything, so much nutrition is required for her entire body to be so agile powerfull, and mind functions.. she would need to eat a horse every hour.

and how can human brain convert her body`s biologically living cells into metal and plastic? no amount of electrical signals from normal brain waves can distort a bottle cap. and she was slowing bullets and lifting 20 people in air together.. even matrix atleast had a point, it was all in a computer program. where you can write a language that code will provide any intended result..even then there was an anomoly in a pc program... universe is not a PC program. it could be by control, but not by its nature of existance.

The bradely cooper movie was much much more sensible and well acted out.. the topic and story were same almost, yet atleast he was consuing small pills, not eating drugs in apacity of a bag of fertilizers..
yes movies have flaws, yes movies sometimes defy logic.. yes future of science and pc programming is very advance for us to comprehend right now, but even by letting every single comon sense molecule go, this movie is stil on par with Chennai Express as far as acting and direction of the simple plot go..

so you agrreing with faisal about movie being for genious people to understand the developmental process of the universe, may you you should brush up on your basic matric level biology book..that was a compulsory subject for all students so i believe so you genious people MUST MUST have read it:) and i am not even going to chemistry and physics, that would be too humiliating for such genius brains to comprehend at their levels :)

PS: the ending was great.. excellent CGI, and very well executed stop motion cinematography at that point.. for it i gave 7/10..
Give me a TL:DR and i still dont care.. just dont care.. bad movies are bad movies.

3 - you can disagree on maze runner..your opinion on movie plot and direction is respectable.. what i felt about it was better, cz unlike other same child abduction movies, this will come together in 3 movies to complete the story from the novels.. like hunger games, where first movie was incredibly slow in setting the story..yet was a very good movie still, but 2nd movie was a dhamaka hit, and mokinjay would be even great..this runner probably will close all loopholes in plot in next movie perhaps, whereas Divergent, although a much much visually superior movie was 90% a succesful tour of a kids training camp and 10% of ending crammed the last 2 novels of hunger games series. and besides maze runner has slightly better sense of crisis and problems, where divergent was all happy and cheers , there was no catastrophy, no real world danger, and suddenly out of nowwhere a group starts fighting an other group..

divergent is still great movie.. i rated it higher than maze runner..just that maze runner will get better as it has more suspense at end and appeal despite an all teen cast an no popular mainstream actors.

which brings me to the same Upsilon disagreeing with me for no reason part without reading anything.. i appreciate a lot of female lead movies..hunger games has female lead, Salt, Tomb raider series, alien, terminator 1-2-3, Black widow, Meri kom, almost all juhi chawla movies, and100s of other movies had female lead which were all excellent..Pakistani dramas are ALAYS female strongest roles, from all age groups, be it a dehshat gard saas, to a jelous siter, to a love interest in office or just a child being neglected by parent.. females have more stronger performance in them.. Bol, khuda k liye, again PK cinema at their best.. xmen DOFP would be nothing if jennifer lawrence wouldnt hav given mystique such a powerful emotional impact which previously had been depicted as ruthless murderer only..majority of french crap cinema released sex heavy movies have better Dramatic performance of females as far as the non-existant plot goes..which is perhaps a very dificult role to do i think..

Even female support role in cast in male lead movies still makes them better when done properly., jina carrano and rounda rousey made excellent debuts from MMA to movies, an unthinkable when male MMA stars couldnt do it . Michelle obama was at oscars and many TV programs and movies as cameo and was an excllent performer, no camera shy and strong persona..Depsite Award winning alec baldwin, and tracy jordan, 30 rock was always about elizabeth lemon and jenna..females.

and again, Lucy was a 3rd class movie performance as a lead y scarlet johanson.. er black widow performances have kept the avengers together.. Don jon was a totally different role and again very high IMDB ratings.. great role.. but lucy was crap, just like all recent morgan freeman roles are crap..

seems like you just read one word and become hyper.. and formulating an opinion about me without context from any given line.. there is a long histroy of you doing so.. you and jihadi molvis seem to have much in common :)

PPS; expecting inflamatory retorts and retaliations by personal insults in 3...2...1... GO..

i agree totally, i think its targeted at age group 16-20 only, where 16 teens would be depressed at what is ahead, and 20 people will be depressed at what had happened before.. the adult version of this as the Truman show was much better..

@farhan_ds Woah woah woah dude, i was just f***ing around with you, you need to take a chill pill. :P

I now understand why you guys don't like Bollywood movies, it's because you don't watch them for pure entertainment. Seriously, movies are really just that, a form of entertainment for us hoomans, if you start writing thesis on their plots then it's only gonna seem crap to you. Same is the case for movies like Lucy, they're not meant to be taken seriously. When you watch movies like Superman or Spiderman, do you complain about it having unrealistic concepts? No you don't, so then why with Lucy? I know Lucy is more surreal, and that's the point, it's an art. I don't suppose you're getting my point right now, and you're probably gonna write a book on why I'm stupid and how Lucy is still a crap movie irregardless of entertainment, and I'm ok with your opinion on my opinion (opinionception!) or me or Lucy for that matter because I'm not affiliated with the movie by any means and so i don't have to waste my time or energy debating about it.

P.S. The f***ing Interview got canceled, WTF? Dammit! Kim needs to take those pills too! B)

Yeah it should be out soon either officially or otherwise. I do believe we're gonna see some good quality Web-DL rips soon which would be one of the earliest HDrip releases of this decade.

You got it all wrong, pr0n is for "stimulation" not entertainment. The plot and acting in those movies is abysmal.

I must admit though that I'm interested in watching "This Ain’t The Interview XXX". :P

A Serbian Film (2010)

WTF/10 - I really don't know what to say about this. This is the first (and most likely last) Serbian film I've watched and my opinion of it is negative, both morally and professionally. Yes i knew beforehand what the movie was about and yet it turned out slightly worse.

Basically it's one of those movies that are made purely to shock and disturb the viewer, there's literally no other qualities to this movie other than being f***ed up. The acting is mediocre at best. The special effects & gore is the kind you see in low budget splatter movies. There's cheap soft-porn scenes going throughout the movie, which isn't much good either. There's really nothing impressive. If we talk about the disturbing content, well... yeah it's messy. So if you're "into" disturbing movies... then this one is definitely for you.

#5891

Gone Girl (2014)

8/10 - Now here's a good movie. I'm not gonna say anything about the plot, as you're better off watching it all yourself. I'll just say that the movie had a nice charm to it, never felt like it was dragging on unnecessarily. It was probably not one of the most realistic type of plots, but there were some nice twists in it. Rather early into the movie, i was able to predict what was gonna happen, and it did, but that's not where the movie ended, i had just got until the interval part. From there on the fun part begins, the part that's a lot more interesting and keeps you guessing how it's going to end... but lemme tell you what, i thought up a lot of possible endings, and it still managed to surprise me. Don't get me wrong, the ending won't blow you away or anything, it's just something you won't be able to predict.

All in all, it's a really good suspense movie. Recommended!

Palo Alto (2013)

Here we are again. Analyse American high schoolers. So complicated. So upper middle class. So privileged and corrupted. Poor babies. Based on a broadly panned book by Jam Franco, we already have an indication of elites helping their own kind. Roberts, Kilmer, Gretzky, Coppola, and so on, the 1% is all here. No need to submit an attested copy of film school transcripts. And of course Hollywood's favourite tribe is over-represented in the cast and cjew.

Despite wanting to hate the film, I basked in the nonsense these morons were going through. In a post pmo addiction new world marauder disorder, it's virtuous to contemplate the problems of those who have none. The cinematography is funking fine. A few shots were stolen, for example, the soccer practice set to 'Futbol Americano'. I happen to know which film they nicked it off, and I am not pleased. On top of that, the film has the look and feel of California's southern city, I almost expected a helicopter long-Mann-shot of a pastel lit second city skyline. And is the real Palo Alto lily white? I know South Asians ugly up the frame, but how about fetching second generation slant-eyed school-girl-miniskirt hotties? Shows the inexperience of the director and also the folly in asking women to do a man's job.

If desultory and disaffected is usually bad, here it helps the film, it highlights the characters' struggles and the overall "off centre" of the picture makes it more credible. I suspect young Gia, an apt pupil, had some help with her homework. Well acted, and very well scored, the first timers are either good or lucky. They are so inside, are they even new? Watch out for scene stealers Mr Wilson and Janet Jones backside in some tight jeans.

Actually, Mr. Wilson's art class would make a fantastic film on its own. While watching, I wanted the art class scenes to continue but was left wanting. And Kilmer junior looks like star material, not in the burn-through-celluloid intensity of Daddy, but he was impressive in his own way, and overshadowed his co-upstarts. Or is that start-ups?

This would have been a revelation but it is a few years late. It is toward the better end of the privileged American youth on the road to adulthood spectrum of films, so it's still pointless. Pointless is harder to dismiss when scenes are this well set up and executed. But yeah, I can't even

Idiocracy (2006)

Simple concept snatched from the womb, as if from the headlines: tards tend to have younguns at a greater rate than nontards. But doesn't that mean over time, the world will be populated almost entirely by conservative muzzies ruled by Hollywood's chosen people? Not in this film, which tards up the delicious conceptual bedrock with what the masses crave, sugary electrolytes. And general tardness. A fun watch, but you'll get that feeling at the end. You know, like, "Why did I review this?"

Weekend (2011)

Nard alert: This film deals with gay romance and has scenes of homoerotic intimacy. A one night stand turns into something more. This is one where you get to listen but the characters aren't playing to your whim; you can stand in a closet corner and watch quietly. The themes are not specific to homosexuals, but the characters don't live in some alternate reality, or some gay ghetto like Hollywood. I appreciated the quietness, the reflection, and the development of characters who actually engage the viewer, without pandering to the audience.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998)

I don't know about you, but in my line of business it's important to be happy. As your attorney, I advise you to watch this movie, under the influence of every mind altering drug you can ingest just short of killing yourself. To say this a superior work is to state the obvious. Johnny Depp is hilarious, Del Toro a fitting foil. The world is crammed full of hypocrites and true belief condemns you to burn in life and after. Yes, I know, if I do this or that, I'll be saved. Hurray for our side. Why are the vibrations in this review getting so nasty? Is there no communication on this web forum? This is bat country.

Transcendance 6/10

A simple movie... very routine tech-takes-over-world story.. johny depp has almost zero role in movie.. the premise is typical.. the music is good and matches the movie though..

Rant : Morgan freeman should just STAHP>..

The Interview (II) (2014)

7/10 - It's not nearly as good as the attention it has received. Yeah it has some hilarious moments, but it doesn't have a steady flow of good comedy. Simply put, it's somewhat entertaining, but not a must watch by any means.

#5897

So in summary,.. like every james franco/seth rogen movie.. :(

#5898

Haider (2014)

7.5/10 - Dark, gritty, captivating. Better than the usual bolly drama for sure, probably because it's inspired by Hamlet (it's a play). The cinematography is great, most of the movie is recorded in Kashmir, and you can see the beauty of the gorgeous place by yourself.

There's some good performances by leads, even Shraddha wasn't so bad. Shahid was decent. Tabu was brilliant. All in all, it's one of the finest movies from Bollywood this year.

#5899

Flatliners (1990)

A pure gem in terms of originality and subject. Excellent plot and performances. Not for everyone as it's subject matter will only appeal to a narrow audience. But, perhaps unfortunately, it is one of the most interesting topics to me. Great thriller in any case.

I am feeling inclined to give it a 10/10 but I guess 9/10 is fine due to incorrect medical practices shown within.
