What is the difference between ????

2kw=if 24v ups 200 ah battery power factor. 7 load is 500 watt =back up time both have same 6 hour

3kwand 48v 50 ah battery power factor .7load is 500 watt = back up time both have same 6 hour

instead 3 kw handle more watt than 2 kw

then what is best system and why ????? both having same back up time..

Theoretically,

24V x 200ah = 4800Wh

48V x 50ah = 2400Wh

500W x 6hr = 3000Wh

At 48V and 50ah of battery bank, inverting 500W for 6 hours doesn't seem possible.

by the way a calculated Wh does not mean available Wh. it is the full battery capacity which is never recommended to be used. mostly a new 150Ah battery should give you 500Wh at max in safer limits while the capacity will be 12x150=1800Wh.

The battery backup time in hours can be calculated using following formula:

Backup Time = Battery AH x 12V x N x Efficiency of Battery / Load in Watts

where,
Battery AH = Ampere Hour Capacity of Battery
N = Number of 12 V Batteries needed
Efficiency of Battery = Generally it is 0.8, which is the max. power factor of home standard

i just put these value for 200 ah 24 v ups system

& 50 ah 4 battery 48v system is back time is same

Backup Time = Battery AH x 12V x N x Efficiency of Battery / Load in Watts

=50*48*4*.8/1000=7.68 hour

Backup Time = Battery AH x 12V x N x Efficiency of Battery / Load in Watts

=200*24*2*.8/1000=7.68 hour

is it right calc ?????????

when using 12V x N, where N is number of 12 volt batteries. don't change the 12V to 24 or 48, this is wrong.

given, Battery AH x 12V x N x Efficiency of Battery / Load in Watts = Backup Time,
then (50ah x 12v x 4 batteries x 0.8) / 1000 = 1.92 hr

and (200ah x 12v x 2 batteries x 0.8) / 1000 = 3.84 hr

Ok and what the back time if I have 48volt system????

48V and 50 ah battery bank, 1000 watt load (50ah x 12v x 4 batteries x 0.8) / 1000 = 1.92 hours

48V and 200 ah battery bank, 1000 watt load (200ah x 12v x 4 batteries x 0.8) / 1000 = 7.68 hours

if selecting between 48V with 100ah or 24V with 200ah. in my opinion 48V with 100ah is better.

higher volt equals less current for same power(Power = Volt x Ampere). less current equals cooler running circuit, lesser losses. usually 48V ups are a little more efficient than 24V one.

Always try for the biggest battery you can go for.

Back time of both 24v of 48v of above mention system should same.??

1st apc 3 kw with 100ah battery.600 watt load.48volt system

2nd apc1.5kw with 200ah battery with 600 watt 24volt system

To me your practical optimized backup time will not be more than 3 hrs. I would recommend to go for 3kW inverter as this is endless desire. once you go solar. you will add more and more load to it. so always keep a good margin.

dear there is no 3kw or 1.5kw in apc … if u r talking abut apc 1.5kva then it makes 98o watts only … if u r talking abut 3 kva then it makes 2700 watts in case of rackmount and 3 kva / 2250 watts in case of tower casing …
