Wateen USB device on Witribe/Qubee?

Hello,

Does someone here know whether a Wateen USB modem can be used on WiTribe or Qubee after changing its settings? I ask this because it is possible with DSL modems, i.e one can use a DSL modem provided by PTCL on LinkdotNet after changing some basic settings.

Thanks in advance.

No, you can not.

But surely there must be some technical hack/workaround for tihs?

No, there is no such technical facility available. Actually, Wi-Tribe gives you your personal online account where you can manage your services yourself. Your modem is completely synchronized with that account. Now, if somehow you hack a Wateen modem, then how would you create that Wi-Tribe account or how would you hack network of Wi-Tribe? That’s impossible in simple words.

Wimax is fourth generation communication technology. It was designed to keep everything fool proof and as much secure as possible. Hacking a Wimax network is only possible when you are able to find some bug in the infrastructure somewhere. A hack, if any, developed in USA or Ukraine or Russia etc is not going to work for Pakistani networks.
