Wan Status PPP Down, Works via PPPOE Dialup

From Last two days i am getting RED Internet LED, the modem status show PPP down, i have tried changing modulations, QoS etc etc still PPP down, but the PPPOE dialup connection is working fine, any help? could it be a modem issue.

I am facing a similar issue for the last couple of days as well.

its happening in many area..i'm a victim too..! at times the IP simply goes out...although it won't effect much since its a backend issue but, still try hard resetting your modem..it helped me once.!

yeh it helped me in the past too, but now i guess its an exchange issue, anyway lodged an online complaint last day and today PPP is up :) also got a confirmation call, that means don’t have to dial and wait at 1218 any more :)

Iam facing the same problem too from last saturday..well the status is UP from today's morning but able to surf intermet only under bridge mode.. :-( I think its a back end issue nd nthing with the modem..right??
