Underwater Cable SMW4 Cut, Internet Traffic Being Routed Through SMW3

That is what the crawler (patti) is saying on ARY One World

right now. No wonder my browsing slowed down to a crawl

all late afternoon and evening today.

The Americans tapping it again, or some wild fishing trawler

having a go at it ?. This is getting to be a regular deal with

our cables.

Breaking NEws

FIber Optic cable is cut in Egypt therefore whole PAkistan net suffer even mobile gprs

and work is going on to transfer the traffic to SMW 3 Cable

Crap... my torrents have been fluctuating in speed since the evening. Surprisingly, they are running at full speed at this instant but that is the advantage of Micronet having redundant links.

Did the americans tapped it before ? and for what purpose ?

my speed strongly suffered last night from 11pm last night to 10am this morning. now its fine.

Speed was effected I think around 4 pm but reading a ticker on GEO that the fault is fixed, might be fixed since I am getting normal speeds again :D

To spy on the traffic. Their new USS Jimmy Carter can do that.

^ I think they are already doing that through special built top secret facilities.

Its nothing new,It happened during the cold war…Although, its difficult to imagine how they would analyze the whole data flow from Pakistan.

Its one thing to listen to unencrypted russian analog conversations and whole another topic eavesdropping on the whole country…
