Ufone's Gprs Restrictions?

#1

i was thinking of getting ufone's unlimited gprs pakage so tht i can time pass by watching youtube while light is away

but the utube was not working on ufone's gprs

i used zong's gprs and watched utube on it and it worked fine

but when i used ufone's gprs and tried to test tht whether utube works on it or not

the utube videos were not loading

i think they are not allowing streaming on their gprs

so i hav cancelled my plan to get unlimited gprs pakage until i can confirm tht utube works on it ir not

so guys please advise me tht what kind of other restrictions of downloadin etc does ufone has on its gprs....

and does utube videos work on ur side ???? check it here via mobile m.youtube.com

i talked to their customer service center and they say tht yjey dont hav any restrictions on their gprs

i think these operators are not informed about any such thing

I rarely view video on Ufone, due to slow internet on ufone. Its not blocked, but the quality you get is too ordinary

#3

^^

r u realy sure?

U watched utube frm ufone

#4

I don't think that they are blocking Youtube, though I personally hasn't tested it. What error do you get when trying to access Youtube? If you can't even open the website, then it is Ufone's fault, if you see an error ON the video that "This video is no longer available" or something similar, then its because of Youtube restrictions of that particular video. Use a Proxy or some other version of that same video.

actualy now i hav got tht umail

and the prob is

Yeah nice speed for Ufone Edge. Though Ping is too fast to be true for a GPRS/EDGE connection.

Usual Pings on GPRS/EDGE connections are >1000ms Warid:

ShoukaT, try removing their proxy address in internet settings and you should be cool. Their proxy limits what sort of stuff you should be able to view. try connecting directly. I haven't used ufone internet in the past 2 months so don't know if they've changed stuff.

but should help.

Are you kidding me man. I thought you grew up a little bit, but apparently not. What possible reason would I have to lie about the speed I am getting on Warid? Not to mention that I have posted every downtime, error and speed variations I’ve had with it since I am using it. And believe it or not, some people don’t like to show off about the stuff they own or the services they are using :P.

:D I seriously don’t know what to say man. What exactly do you want to prove buddy? I mean there isn’t an EDGE speed war going on in here, so don’t sweat it.

As for your youtube problem. I still think it is the video restriction problem, and not Ufone’s fault. Try this video:
