Isn't this their Unity UI for netbooks? Or they have adopted it for all versions?

Doesn't seems ugly my man, used it its PHYNE! and way better than Maverik Meerkat

#8

It seems strange but they have merged the "Taskbar" from Windows 7 on left with the Menu of OSX on top. :D

#9

Most of the linux distro have menu on top

#10

I tried it for a little while after upgrading from 10.10, but eventually switched to the "classic gnome" interface. The dock doesn't bother me, but not being able to configure the apps the way I want to made me switch away. I couldn't figure out how to change the properties of the dockbar apps (to change the command-line used to execute the programs).

Windows XP >>> *

:P:D

#12

It doesn't look so bad, but then again, even if it did, I'd still upgrade to it. :D

Only with Autorun feature totally removed (autorun is the main source of spreading viruses)

XP gets slow with time, too slow to re-install. If you open 15 IE windows, it dies.

Disabling autorun is a piece of cake with the group policy editor.

Open up 15 chrome/ffx tabs if IE crashes your Windows installation. :P

group policy editor FTW!!!

Speaking of disabling auto stuff, I had to search through gconf to find nautilus's setting to turn off automount. I couldn't find a preference setting anywhere for this in 10.10 (or earlier releases).

True - you know it, I know it but 90% users don’t know it and thus get victim of viruses.

Regarding opening many IE windows, this is design issue of Win XP.

If WIN XP was so great, there should be no Vista or Win 7

That is my point of view… :)

Well I am using currently ubuntu 10.10 which work nicely.I read some post in ubuntu forum that Ubuntu 11 is not stable to use like 10.10.I don't its right or not. There is only look change in 10.10 to 11.04 other things are same.In previous version we can install theme to change the look.
