How much money, hard cash, can one can take when travelling abroad and How can we trasfer money abroad.

To transfer money from one country to another, either use international traveler’s check, bank draft (cashier’s check) or wire transfer it.
I find bank draft from an international bank is the safe way to move money with you. It is just a small slip and you can cancel it anytime by calling the bank that issued it. Traveler’s check is also very safe. If you already have a bank account abroad then wire transfer to it. It is the safest method as you don’t have to carry anything.
There is a limit of the amount of Rupees, you can take with you while going abroad. No such limit on foreign currency (for your destination country) as far as I know. However, they do demand that you must have some foreign currency in cash (like 50 Dhrms, Dollars)
