Suggestions for a good dual-SIM LTE phone

I am interested in purchasing a brand new (locally available; and with warranty) dual-SIM, LTE phone with a 10+MP camera within the price range of Rs. 30-35K. Have checked gsmarena but many models are not available here. Would appreciate your suggestions.

Here are a few good options that fulfill your needs:

Samsung Galaxy E7
Lenovo Vibe X2
Huawei Honor 4X
Microsoft Lumia 640 XL Dual-Sim

They're all available locally with warranty. All are dual-sim. Support Pakistan LTE. 13MP main cams. Within your price range.

Personally I'd vouch for the Lenovo or the Lumia, but the other options are decent as well.

Thank you, Upsilon. Much appreciated.

While I am also in the Lumia camp (was into Symbian earlier), Microsoft Pakistan is amazingly slow and pathetic. The last I checked dual-SIM, LTE phones in the 640 or 640 XL models were not available. Will check again as I would prefer to stay away from Android. <--Hope this will not start a flame war!

The Vibe X2 seems very good though it looks a bit too flashy as far as the choice of colours is concerned. On the other hand, according to the specs it is super light. Will check the real thing in a couple of days.

lenovo phones always get my vote for great quality and features with minimum bugs.

@salluhassan: Thank you re suggesting Samsung A5. Looks interesting.

@farhan_ds: As was expected, neither the Lumia 640 nor 640XL are available in dual-SIM, LTE models with the official Nokia/Microsoft stores in Karachi. It is worth mentioning that at the moment the 640 and 640XL are the only Nokia/Microsoft models that are dual-SIM, LTE capable.

well if its not too much:) may i suggest QMOBILE noir E8.......going to launch in 2-3 weeks.

That’s not possible. Some of my own friends own it.

Besides, Take a look here…

http://www.whatmobile.com.pk/Microsoft_Lumia-640-XL (read the comments here, some of them are reselling their dual-sim versions)

The point being, it is certainly available… Perhaps not in the markets you’ve searched in, but it is available.

If you really want this phone, then you can also buy it from a reputed online store. You’ll get it at your doorstep. Easy Peasy!

According to GSMArena, there are a total of seven models in the Lumia 640/640 XL series:

  1. Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual SIM
  2. Microsoft Lumia 640 LTE
  3. Microsoft Lumia 640 LTE Dual SIM
  4. Microsoft Lumia 640 XL
  5. Microsoft Lumia 640 XL Dual SIM
  6. Microsoft Lumia 640 XL LTE
  7. Microsoft Lumia 640 XL LTE Dual SIM

#2, 3, 6, and 7 support 4G bands. The rest are 3G phones.

As far as I know, they are only marketing #4 and 5 in Pakistan. As a result, none of the three 640 models are sold by the official outlets; and none of the 4G variants are available there. Will definitely explore daraz.pk.

^ I see... That's bad product naming on Microsoft's part...

Anyways, if that's the case then it's possible that the ones I've seen were 3G only version. You can't really tell them apart without being active & connected to a LTE network.

Oh well, there are plenty of other LTE phones you could choose instead, but then you'll have to go with Android. Good luck on your search!

Skip any of the new samsung A series... they are over priced for hardware and software and have very poor phone handling as well as glaring omissions of even the most basic things..

avoid A5 and A3...

Farhan bhai . I am about to buy. Help help. I really don’t like samsung phones now a days. But budget of my friend is 40 thousand rupees or a little more . He is buying so that he can sale out s3 now which he was using for years. Plz suggest me on battery performance too

If you want a long term phone with excellent features and great battery, then LG G3 is the PERFECT phone.. you can easily get it in between 30-35k with box and etc stuff in great condition..

if pure battery life is your concern and sacrificing a bit on screen resolution doesnt hurt, then lenovo phones with the 4000 mah battery last usually 3 days with dual sim and wifi.. and even more with 1 sim .. unmatched in battery performance.

instead of the A series of samsung, buying a galaxy S5 is a much much superioir choice and can be had in your buget of 40k aproximately. S5 is still one of samsungs better phones to date.

for water proof and shck proof and elegant phone with great battery, Sony Xperia Z2 and ultra or even Z3 can be had in that price.. despite not having as much resale value, they dont need a resale value as they are designed to be worth your money long before you sell it... wonderful build quality and style.

if fan of a largest screen device., the huawei ascend mate and galaxy note 4 can be your great choices with Huawei being a much better phone for all its features and a much larger screen in a metal body. they are a bit expensive above 40k range but THIS huawei phone is a unique and very enjoyable phone.

VIP : all mentioned phones have been used by me, so only giving my OPINION based on my personal experience (So others dont get butt hurt)

Happy buying , who ever is buying, you or your friend, since it isnt clear from your post :P

Cheap one, lenovo 2010

Recently Lenovo launched another phone, Vibe P1m, available for around 18k and has dual sim and 4G

The only dual sim fully active mobile phone are Huawei Honor 6 Plus which is both sim active which means you can receive calls simulatenously on both sims and both sim slots are 4 G enabled which means you can use 4G data on any of your sim without physically swapping the sim
