Suggest me a Laptop

Well guys i have decided to buy a laptop..

so i ma need your help deciding which company laptop and which model should i buy...

one my cousin is coming from canada next month and my plan is to ask him to bring my laptop... so i can order laptops from company websites

my budget is open...

and my requirements are that the laptop should be powerful enough to run heavy graphics video games .. and battery time should be max..

2nd gen core i7

ddr3 8gb 1600 or 1333

hdd 500 or 750

good GPU

Full HD screen and max possible size available..

long lasting battery

and most of all it should be nice and strong built from a good company...

Go for Toshiba. You will never regret.

ASUS for the win!

Gaming laptops aren't a good idea. Not only will the battery life be crap, the damn thing is likely to overheat. They are not designed for the Pakistani climate. I suggest you buy a UPS instead. A really really good one for like 50k.

Look no further than Alienware when it comes to gaming laptops http://www.alienware.com/Landings/laptops.aspx

umm… yea i already did research on them but seems like they are OVERPRICED… =(

Everything gaming grade is expensive. Look at Razer products.

Anyways besides that I'd recommend getting a Dell laptop, as they have better build quality. Or Sony Vaio. But then again laptops with sturdier builds will be more expensive than their counterparts that share the same specs.

So either spend money or buy a cheap Acer :P

MAKE SURE WHEN U BUY LAPTOP, CHECK CPU-Z AND SEE IF ITS INTEL B2 REVISION, ITS FAULTY CHIP!!!!

GALAXY PEOPLE ARE SELLING OLD STOCKS , AND THEY DONT ACKNOWLDGE PROBLEM, BEING THe PRICKS they are

hp is best

As rokra already said, a gaming laptop is a bad idea. I would strongly recommend against it. If you want to run PC games and play them like they're supposed to be played, get a gaming desktop.

P.S., off topic, but I was wondering how many and what capacity batteries are you using with that UPS?

If you intend on gaming properly, you should be looking into building a gaming rig.

Netbooks are practically useless. If money is an issue, then get a cheap laptop. Nowadays $500-600 can get you a fairly powerful machine good for just about anything short of gaming!

Since you’re getting it from Canada, consider the following:

http://ncix.com/products/?sku=60178&vpn=A52F-QM1-CBIL&manufacture=ASUS

http://ncix.com/products/?sku=58585&vpn=X52F-X3&manufacture=ASUS&promoid=1324

There are no best companies for Laptop in my experience...

What you really have to look for is which companies have service centers here close to your locality.

In Karachi its Acer, IBM and HP.

As per my point of view DELL and Sony VAIO is best laptop company. Dell is very much useful for the software developer, while sony vaio is useful for the designing purpose. Because graphics of the vaio is marvelous and mind blowing while the dell have the best configuration and application support with the long life battery supports...!!!!

guys is it a good idea to go for HP TouchSmart tm2t series ???

PLESE REPLY ABOUT THIS MACHINE

i am really confused here...

i am a gamer... okay i ll upgrade my gaming rig.. but then i want to keep all my stuff at one place.... like all my work should be at one place...

then i dont want to leave any one of these machines idle... my gaming one or the mobile one...

This hp isn't a gaming laptop as the card is too week for current games. look for class 2 cards at-least.

I would go for Dell XPS L501X with JBL speakers and nvidia optimus technology.

i know one site Karachi laptop, you should visit here.
