Sugession ABout a 3d Card!

#1

i wana buy i 3d card in pci express

budget is max 6K

i went to one shop it said 2500 for a 512

other said 5200 for 512

what is the diference in them any idea??

well i want a card which can run almost alll latest and upcoming games and i dont want to c any game not running on my pc due to low 3d card atleast up to year...or 2

#2

lol, 6k for a card which runs any game for at least 2 years?Come on man lol.Get a 8800GT and you'll be fine for 1 year.

#3

chaloooo leave that 2 year section

but do give sugestion about a 6k card

which can atleast run nfs pro stret

#4

a graifx cards memory isnt the only thing to consider u also have to take into account the processor

what outputs it has and also the pixel shaders and stuff like that

and i agree with SECCs recomendation the 8800 GT is a great card

#5

lol SECC is posting like he is billionaire..bullshitter.

#6

Try GeForce 8500GT 1GB (128-BITS) DDR-II for 5.5k or ATI PCX 2600 PRO 512MB 128BITS DDRII for 6k. Your PC does support PCI Express, right?

#7

Get an 8500 or 8600 variant.

Enough of your tantrums already!

#9

dude memory aint everythin ...... chk which memory is it i mean ddrIII or anythin and check which chipset does it have how many shadders does it have and etc. etc. etc.

now it also matters thtu have agp or pcix cuz none of the vendors r stoking agp cards thse days

now if u have pcix then ill recommend u to go with XFX with Nividia chip GeForce PCX 8500GT 1GB with 128bit cashe woul be gud enough and it is your price range try galaxy.pk for prices

#10

make sure the card you get has DDR-3 instead of the slow DDR-2, affect the performance alot!

#11

ok guys

that ddr3 is damn expensive and i dont hav much funds to spend on a 3d card

now wth is this

GeForce PCX 8600GT 512MB (128-BITS) DDRII for 7300

GeForce PCX 8500GT 1GB (128-BITS) DDRII for 5900

both are 128 bits ddrII the above one has low ram but still expensive??

#12

what processor clock and stuff like that does it have?

#13

Shoukat, that DDRII ram is gonna give you really shitty gameplay speed, but since your budget is limited, ... why dont you try ATI cards? they are a bit cheaper than their nVidia counterparts (sort of like SE to Nokia comparison most of the times :P)

#14

i recommend

His sapphire ATI PCX 2600 XT HD 256MB iFAN 128BITS DDR III for rs. 6500

it has ddr 3, direct x 10 support

will play almost all games on good settings

+++++++++++++++++++

i myself am using a slightly older 7600gt (with 258 12 bit) with 1 gb system ram and a 1.6 dual core..and i can play all games in medium to high swttings including crysis.. i plan to upgrade unless some better cards become more cheaper

#15

dude the pixel shadder and stuff will higher in the second card thts wth said in my last post that the memory size aint important. chk its specs cause those thins set the price and dont go 4 shity compony cuz waranty is important too

Well, if you want to spent a little above 6k, then here are two of the better choices:

GeForce PCX 8600GT 512MB (128-BITS) DDRII - 7300rs

ATI PCX 2600 XT HD256MB iFAN 128BITS DDR III - 6500rs

If not, then my recommendation remains the same as ago:

GeForce 8500GT 1GB (128-BITS) DDR-II for 5.5k

ATI PCX 2600 PRO 512MB 128BITS DDRII for 6k

By the way, if you are able to find a 8600GT of MSI rather than XFX and Inno3d, it will be slightly cheaper.

The 1GB 8500GT is not a good choice. With only a 128 bit interface, it can only use 256mb, so you are better of with a cheaper 256mb one. There wont be any difference in performance since the 1GB card wont be able to use the extra memory… You would have to be a fool to buy a 1GB card with only 128 bit interface, heck even 512mb with 128 bit interface is stupid. Just get a 256mb card.

And same goes for the 2600PRO, just get a 256mb one.

As for my suggestion, I would have to agree with jack. Get the His sapphire ATI PCX 2600 XT HD 256MB iFAN 128BITS DDR III for rs. 6500. but the cards listed by Asad_N aren’t bad either but get 256mb ones. All of these cards will have almost the same performance…

#19

now i think i should go 4

ATI PCX 2600 XT HD256MB iFAN 128BITS DDR III - 6500rs

Do compare the benchmarks for the 2600XT and ATI 3650. The 3650 is a newer card so it may be a better performer. Check the benchmarks!
