@Saad & Asad

There is nothing to worry about and no need to hesitate while quoting your system specs. :)

I started using computer while there were i386/i486 systems and I still remember using computer with a keyboard(instead of keyboard/mouse combination) all the time for some odd reasons. :)

And for a very long time, I used Intel Celeron 500MHz processor with a meager 256MB RAM and 40GB HDD.

The idea is to get a general impression about the WP members choices and tastes. :)

heh thanks :)

well, around 1.5 Gig RAM is used by Vista64 all the times. the remaining 2.5 Gig is just ok for the apps/emulators/games etc. i was fed up with lags and stuck windows previously. now i feel much better :)

although i’ll upgrade to 8gig 800Mhz RAM when i get the money.

help needed: i’ve tried decreasing the size of the page file from 2+ GBs to 16MB (so that all the data is cached in the RAM (giving fast access/loading time)) but still, some of the benchmark apps show that my VM is around 2+ GBs. i dont want that. any idea how to decrease the VM size (i’ve tried the performance tab options, it shows 16MB there already). actually i read an article on tom’s, where they installed 8Gig ram on vista64, and decreased VMsize to minimum … the apps loaded/‘reacted’ much faster then caz all the data was being cached in the RAM.
