Telenor maximum speed I get is 4.70Mbps in Abbottabad and that too when signals are strong else it hovers around 1Mbps ,secondly the signal strength is POOR.Whereas Zong is pretty much strong.

Zong is using bandwidth provided by TWA, not PeeTCL. Obviously, they will perform better than rest of the junk. Right now, most of zong users have feature phones. So 3g speeds are exceptional - say 1.2+ mb/s download and upto 0.4 mb/sec upload. Zong was actually Paktel and thus has widest coverage in Pak. The network was reimagined and repurposed by Dr. Tanveer ul Haq before China telecom bought the company. Dr. tanveer being an enthusiast, moved to wimax sector as it was the only 3.75G segment in Pak at that time. He recently passed away in a road accident. Very sad. When you enjoy excellent zong speeds and coverage etc, now on, dont forget to pray for Dr. Tanveer ul Haq. And yes, i have met him once. Must mention that he was part of the team which pioneered CDMA standards. Have a look at his professional profile. Its show what should a true professional look like

And "3G Ready" is just a term that means that the network is ready to launch 3G whenever it gets the license. All the networks except Warid were "3G Ready" thus they all launched their trials right after purchasing the license.

^ iamcool is a paid ptcl stooge. Dont fall for the nonsense he posts around. Honesty is simply impossible in this country and we still blame the west. Will this bc bother to identify himself? Does he even realize that achaar ji costs more than his monthly salary? Anyways, those idiots who fall for these scams deserve to be robbed off their money.

Mod note: Please check all his posts. What is he if not a marketing pimp for PTCL? Responsible disclosure is his responsibility.

30Mbps with 30GB cap hehe..iamcool sorry babs time to report U.

WHo needs 4 Jee Ka Paich Kuss when you haz 8Mbps

This was taken at PWD today (Islamabad/Rawalpindi). The peak speed touched 1.1 MB/s (and how did I see that? Do you see the speedometer on the status bar? That said 1.1 MB).

I’m on prepaid. I’ve never seen such speeds on Mobilink here. Maybe its cause of 14 Aug protests? :P

#52

I've been getting this 41051 network on my list of visible networks for a while now. Warid LTE trials incoming soon maybe ?

#53

Where exactly are you located? I find see no LTE network in my network searches :/

Warid is asking its customers to upgrade sim cards for LTE service

#55

^ Good, it's nice to see Warid working hard on upgrading their network to LTE, even if there are currently few users with LTE capable handsets, it is still worth appreciating.

#56

The real market is of USB dongle users where PTCL EVO service is not available and if available 4G will compete.

Pakistan is the 9th largest mobile user market in the world.

Before starting a project of worth millions of dollars i think market survey would come first.
