Regarding Dishtv

#1

Hello,

I need some information regarding Dishtv before purchasing it. I am planning to buy it from Imperial Market or college road Rawalpindi, is it safe, as in legal or should i buy directly from their official website, they offer a home delivery as well. where can i get the best price ?

I went through dish tv official website and found out the difference in rates, e.g its 325 in india but 700 in pakistan, is it the currency exchange difference or are we being overcharged ?

I want to ask if we can directly refresh our subscription with dish tv india through a Pakistani credit card or a Bank Draft ? if that's the case than how much do we actually pay them per month for a platinum package ?

As you can see all i am pretty much concerned is about the monthly charges because i strongly feel the shop keepers are exploiting the costumers as this is pretty much the case everywhere in Pakistan.

Regards,

Tayyab.

U have to manually add those channels. New receivers aren’t updated with new or changed frequencies. Visit Lyngsat for updates. Link for Asiasat 3S.

All Dist TV channels are going to mpeg4 or HD and after some time this mpeg2 receiver will be in dustbins. Totally a waste of money. Isn't it?

Dishtv uses NSS-6 to broadcast its programmes. NSS-6's higher transmission power enables customers to use smaller antennas (75-90cm) or obtain higher throughput with existing antennas. Dishtv brings you 160 digital channels straight from the satellite to your home. Dishtv is an Essel Group venture. Dishtv uses NSS-6 to broadcast its programmes.

Tata Sky uses the INSAT-4A satellite for its DTH services.

Multi-Audio system

Dishtv offers a unique feature where you can listen to a channel in the language of your choice, if the broadcaster is giving more than one language feed. Currently two channels are available in Multi-Audio - Cartoon Network (English / Hindi) and EuroNews is available in 7 European languages.

Tata Sky provides CD quality sound without any distortion.

Working of Tata Sky

The satellite will send the channels in digital quality directly to the minidish fixed on your balcony, outside your window.

The minidish relays the channels to your digicomp, where they are decrypted and sent to your television, giving you an unparalleled viewing experience.

There is an alternate solution available for large buildings. The entire building can use a single dish and carry connections to individual digicomp in every home

how?

also mention their packages with channels in PK.

@imran

one can do with suntv and why not with tatasky or dishtv. Dishtv and tatasky will become more popular when indian channels gets banned completely on local cable walas cauz these packages carry indian entertainment which is not the option for viewers who are least interested in indian crap.

Yaar they never offered such thing in both janams. its a voilation, one DTH provider of one region can not provide channels of other DTH provider from another region.

So provide a proof if you have any.
