Red Cross declares Pakistan 'New War Zone'

Islamabad, Oct.4 : The International Red Cross Committee has declared Pakistan the 'New War Zone' of the world.

The Daily Times quoted Markososi, a spokesman of the IRCC, as telling a US newspaper in Islamabad that Pakistan was the "new war zone" of the world.

He said that besides the recent wave of fierce bomb blasts across country and the full-fledged clashes in the restive northern Pakistan were a testimony to this fact.

The newspaper cited that more than 0.2 million people have migrated from the war-torn areas in Pakistan and over thousands of people have lost their lives in clashes between security forces and Taliban there.

What an outstanding friendship with US & other Red White & Blue countries which’s based only on “Carrot & Stick.”

These aren’t lies.

And I have relatives in the military who’ve been posted to these areas. They sure as heck aren’t being sent to distribute mithai. :expressionless:

They are too late to declare it :P

I think this declaration might be to wake up Pakistani leadership. The Public already knows that stuff but our beloved President is too busy flirting around. "O bhai............. O Zardari Uncle............ jag jao. Jung lag gai hai!!"

that isn’t quite right because he’s well awake and looting himself

I hope the country makes it through in one piece. *sigh*

#15

I think its more of a formality. In my opinion, it might be that declaring an area a warzone will allow them to increase the level of aid and stuff so as to help out refugees and stuff.

That and i think they too were rather late at declaring this !

Then he should rather be asleep. I hope he goes to sleep one day and never wakes up…
