RAM Problem

#1

I have a Intel Motherboard D101GGC

2.8GHZ Processor

Corsair RAM DDR1 512MB 400 BUS

Problem:

I insert second RAM in second slot and then start my computer.

Computer starts continues Beep

How can I solve my problem and use both RAM'S at a time.

#2

Looks like the second RAM doesnt match with the 1st one.. Get it changed .

#3

I used both rams separately its works fine.

Any setting in Motherboard to use both ram at a time.

#4

BOTH rams together doesn't match .. or they both are not compatible to each other. separately they will work fine. It happens sometimes , Matching Issue

No. Motherboard Auto Detects Itself.

Change one of your RAM , Bring your PC from where you bought the RAM they will FIX it.

i hope u had it done n if u doesn't , then here is the trick!

Reinstall your window with one of your ram , after complete installation of windows after getting on desktop , turn off your system , mount your second ram on the other slot...u r done.

hope so it will work for you ,cux it worked for me i had done it before on my cousin's system.

Remember: your both rams should be of same category , like bus speed...

Perhaps one of the motherboard RAM slots is faulty. Try both sticks individually in different slots. Also run memtest. You can download a bootable ISO version and burn to a CD that you boot from. Get it at http://www.memtest.org/. Run at least 2 passes for each module. IF you get any errors then one of your modules is faulty or the mobo ram slot is faulty.
