Quran Android App

#1

Hi folks!

I need android Quran app, i see many on play store but every one of them requires downloading.

I need offline Quran app with original arbic text and urdu translation. English translation would be

great. Also if there is one with tafseer.

Remember i need one app, if there is any like that.

Try 'Quran Android': https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quran.labs.androidquran

Just translation, no tafseer.

#3

iQuran Lite if you like it then buy the pro version. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.guidedways.iQuran

thanks for the suggestions,

But

In "Quran android" the text is very small, and there is no option to increase the font size. Also it requires downloading 14~16Mb of metadata for optimal performance. Lets suppose some people still choose to live in primitive times and there is no internet. :)

And iQuran is a good app but it doesn't have Urdu translation. urdu translation is must.

I use iQuran. I don't know where you got that information, but it has Urdu translation built-in in its latest version. Requires additional downloading only if you want to listen to audio recitation, and that too, on a Sura by Sura basis.

#6

But i didn't find urdu translation. I downloaded it and installed it iQuranPro version.

pls guide if you know how to use it?

*edited*

Play store says it has Urdu translation for OS3.0+. Now the problem is i've to run it on CM7.2 (android 2.3.7).

"Ahsan ul Bayan" arabic with urdu tafseer.

"Asan Quran" arabic with urdu translation.

"Tafheem ul Quran" urdu tafseer.

These are without recitation. Complete download.

Hope it may help.

For Arabic only mode, read it in landscape view to increase text size. If viewing with translated text, the Settings menu option has a text/font size option.

All of them require one time downloading of 150MB+ data.

Blame your Android v.2.3.7 ;).

On a side note, why not install a j2me emulator and run the pocket quran on Android?

thanks for sharing

j2me emulator is not working. :( there is something wrong.

And still no luck with other apps.

I was thinking if someone could decompile an exe an compile it to apk? or anything like that? :D

You may run an android emulator on PC and download the required data files of your quran application this way. This is assuming you are able to connect and transfer files between PC <-> Mobile.

If you don't or can't run the emulator, then it may be possible to ask the developer of an application to tell the link to data files for direct download on PC.
