You may contanct 1236 for correct smtp or 1218. You may get proper guidance from them, if you lucky ;)

PTCL email server settings are as under

Incomming Mail Server: imap-pop.ptcl.net

Outgoing Mail Server: smtp-relay.ptcl.net

This was received from PTCL when i registered for free ptcl email account a while back.

Thanks. I’ll try that but how did you get your email ID? I have filled the online fom 3/4 times but no email from them so far.

Ok. Thanks.

#12

i am still waiting for activation of my email

Now they are blocked on spamhause,

http://www.spamhaus.org/query/bl?ip=116.71.38.33

and its complete /18 ,

--

Ref: PBL200437

116.71.0.0/18 is listed on the Policy Block List (PBL)

--

which means my outgoing email is no more working, this sucks and some how this is the range I always get one IP assigned from.

Update : On checking further I can see its not blocked on Spam list block , only on Policy list block, so should not be messing with outgoing email, wondering/checking why I am still facing problem as SMTP Authentication is all set fine.

#14

Most servers rejet emails no matter if your IP is not in SBL. I think PBL takes precedence.
