Political Website, Need help

hello, i am working on a politics based website. At the moment i am working on the forum, please tell me which of the following themes is more suitable for forums.

http://demo.phpbb3styles.net/eMuza

or

http://politicalchatline.com/forums/index.php

The first one is dark and black. Aside from hip-hop, warez,

emo and porn sites, black isn't quite the color to attract

serious, thoughtful and academic discussions, IMHO.

The second, olive green color is sorta OK. Perhaps a little too

drab and dull, if one is looking for sprightly and lively debates.

I am giving you my immediate, gut reaction, based on a little

experience. Nothing quantitative, or conclusive by any means.

In the end, color, style and utilities matter little. What matters

is the ability to draw quality from an already dwindling pool of

posters.

if you are new with setting up from stuff. i prefer you try MYBB . easy to configure and template editing is also quite easy, you can easily find a good collection of forum templates :). easy to customize.

1st is better than 2nd.

Lively colors gives out alive ideas. Dark is for dungeons and destruction, or underworld criminal gangs.
