I want to know of any free webhosting service that supports

PHP 4.3.3+

and MySQL 4.23/3.23 (not sure which PHPbb3 Requires)

#4

I found one

www.awardspace.com

It supports

PHP v4.4.1

and MySQL v4.0

#5

Yep, phpBB3 is really easy to setup yourself without Cpanel's help. It also has update checking built-in so you can update from within phpBB's control panel.

I recommend you try and install without Cpanel. Read the phpBB Install document for help.

404 error page problem, can’t add your domain once you signup… MYSQL is really slow…

Very unreliable, comes and goes online when it wants.
