PATA to USB Connector

I want to connect a PATA HD to my PC through USB. Are there any connectors available in the market? Supplying power to the HD through an adapter is not an issue for me.

Yes. PATA/SATA to USB converter cables are available in the market.

yes they are available but keep in mind

- USB provides low amperage 5 volts so you can only run low power 2.5’’ laptop HDD, these USB IDE or new fancy term PATA interfaces without HDD enclosuse cost 250 to 300 rs and with enclosure around 400 to 500 rs.

- 2.5" HDD type also matters since you stated PATA which is old technology consumes more power than the latest 2.5" SATA HDD.

- there is no way you can run full size 3.5" fullsize desktop HDD with motherboards 5 volts, amerage is not powerfull enough.not even with those new motherboards which claims extra powerfull USB capable of charging smartphones etc, you’ll always need 3.5" USB HDD enclosure with external power supply which usually sells for 600 rs.

@Kamran: Read the OP again to address your statements about power concern. There is some external adapter already available.
