I suggest you to to go through this link http://www.internetworldstats.com/stats3.htm#asia even though its of early 2008 but still worth.

Just wait for next PIE price reduction then see the growth rate plus Pakistan will beat Indonesia in next round up.

PIE price reduction isn't that far beyond as PTCL did the last reduction 4-6months before, what i observe is every time TWA take their step to slump their prices first then PTCL take their action at second place.

As TWA and PTCL have master controls over Pakistan Internet Exchange(PIE) so ISPs such as LDN, MAXCOM, WORLDCALL, CYBER etc can't reduce their price befroe that if they did so then that means they have increased their contention ratio thus causing degradation in quality.

What i believe PTCL OR TWA will reduce prices after Dec08 most probably on 1Jan 2009.

On the same note, what is the rating of Pakistan when it comes to ISP's Customer Support/Helpline?

LOL Now if they discover sewage and waste disposal, proper hygiene and health-care, a constitution that lasts unmodified for more than 15 years, and/or a practical law and order system, Pakistan would be ranked the 1st highest in terms of technological and social development, as well

...going from zero to 100 is a "growth" of over 10,000%, but an increase from 100,000,000 to 200,000,000 isn't such a big deal.

I think you fail to see the importance of this ‘ranking’, that there has been progress in the area of broadband adoption in Pakistan. If you read the article you’ll see that this progress is being measured by comparing the increase in the rate of new connections per year, which is probably the best criteria in this regard. Statistics do not make sense if they are in absolute terms.

Pakistan is far from being called a developed country, but the aim should be to make sure its on the right path to development, and that can only be measured relative to the previously existing conditions.

How is Pakistan fourth, it says third in thr "World Broadband Statistics Q3 2008" report :-)

"Belarus was in second place for the third quarter running with 120 per cent growth (102,000 new subscribers) followed by Pakistan which was third with 100.9 per cent growth (96,000 new subscribers)."
