Pain beneath the feet and heels

Friends;

First I say sorry to asking this question here as this is an off topic but I need comments/suggestions from members. My wife, age 35years has been suffering the problem that she has pain in bottom side of both feet especially in heels. Normally this happens when the uric acid exceeds but here uric acid is in normal range; 5.4. I have rechecked the uric acid with Chughtai Lahore Lab and found it ok. Doctor has failed to diagnose where the problem is. Here weight is around 73kg. Please suggest what should I do or guide me to other good health forum.

Do you eat red meat specially cow/bull regularly? That causes this problem.

Use soft heel-pads when wearing any shoes, and avoid any high heels or even moderate heels. If the heel bone is sore, it will only gradually cool down with resting.

This is just a suggestion though, only proper tests and examination can diagnose the problem. If one doc has failed to diagnose anything, consult another or a specialist.

There can be several causes to it. But commonly this problem is some times due to high cholesterol levels,

sugar level or Blood pressure Get it checked immediately from a proper physician. Do not just rely on lab

tests.

First and foremost consult an orthopedic surgeon who may order investigations following an initial examination before suggesting a diagnosis and treatment.

^ The ONLY best advice..

@OP

Donot listen to ANYONE.. only consult a doctor, not online, ONLY in person.. there are 1000s of reasons for any problem and without a timely, detailed and through physical and general inspection, radio-logical examinations and diagnostic aids, no conclusion can be drawn or SHOULD be drawn..

consult a dr, or rather, since this is a specialist problem, a specialist..

preferably CMH lahore, in evening times. if you live in lahore.

first try to get her proper foot massage from a professional if pain still remains ...then see a podiatrist

There's a possibility that there's a glass shard or some such tiny object in the flesh of her feet. It could've gotten inside recently or a while ago & she wouldn't have paid attention to it then. But now it started causing pain when it had gotten deep enough. Just stating a possibility.

Get an X-ray of her foot & see if anything unusual shows up. Being her husband, you can also perform a touch-press examination of her feet and see if there's any particular area where the pain happens, if there is, then there might just be a shard inside there.

Any specific doctor in CMH Lahore… ?

I have read all the suggestions offered here. With all due respect to the posters, it only shows their lack of medical background. There is a reason for the years of training and experience required to become a proficient specialist physician. The way medicine is practiced is very different from a lay person's perception. As a matter of fact most people don't even have a working knowledge about how the human body functions or is put together, let alone understand why a certain disease occurs, how it is diagnosed and managed or treated. Things in the medical profession are not as simple as made out to be. Believe me because I know. I am a radiologist.

there should be NO DUE respect for the local desi totka masters..the local self labeled self assumed doctors are the reason of entire spectrum's of medicine being ruled out cz of resistance developing in majority of people and even 4rth gen cephs not showing responses to few of my patients for even the most common katzung / lippincott spectrum common diseases.

+1.

@OP: Go for a proper checkup as taru states in above quoted post. Don’t put it off.

I have pain beneath my feet as well.

There were no proper diagnosis, but a foot doctor recommended I change my shoes and try to get a custom made heel. I changed my shoes and sandals and since then pain has gotten much less than before.

Also, it also seems your wife doesnt walk or run much, and may even take hard steps on the stairs. An orthopedic told me to walk regularly and not to apply stress to your feet by jumping haphazardly. He recommended I take regular walks and preferably on soft ground like thick carpet or park tracks which have stones to cushion as you take steps on it.

@OP..

PM me for a consultant for your problem if you feel like..

I had this pain in my left heel ,i used to jog alot and i used to wear PT shoes ,in few days of jog i couldnt even take step,I bought proper joggers and then the pain gradually reduced ,it does feels but its gone ,i still use to jog and drag myself alot..the real culprit are shoes ..anyways doctors prescription is a must

Is there any good health forum to discuss such issues?

Farah_ds beat me to that, yes that Forum is Know as Hospital. Consult a Good Doctor, preferably when you know the personally.

Consult a good physician / orthopedic.

Most like it is "Plantar Fasciitis", a very common problem occurring in middle age.

Don't conclude any results yourself and don't attempt any self medication.
