Need recommendations for gaming pc

@Sam: Bro if u aren't going to take our advice then why ask us??

OK. I narrow down ur search for the GPU even more and here are the options:

XFX 9600gso for Rs.7800

or

XFX 8800GS for Rs.6000

If u don't hav much budget then atleast go with 8800gs. Otherwise forget the graphic card.

and i don't play gta IV.

And where is the thread starter archim3des

XFX GeForce PCX 9600GT 512MB (256-BITS) DDRIII (RS 8800)

XFX GeForce PCX 9600GSO 384MB (192-BITS) DDRIII (RS 7800)

what about these 2, is the GSO a better buy?

No. GSO is actually the same thing as GT but nVidia has disabled some stuff in it and made it less powerful and hence cheaper.

hmm, alright what about the cpu? i was thinking about getting a coreduo2 2.8ghz (Rs 10,300) is it worth the money? or should i stick to the dual core 2.5ghz (Rs 6000)

9500GT and HD4650 seem to be the best ones. Out of the two I would recommend HD4650 based on this:

http://forum.xsreviews.co.uk/showthread.php?p=32101

Found this on that forum: 4650 nearly on-par with 9600
