Need a time delay 12 volt current

hello guys

i am new here, ofcourse as i am a medical doctor but keen interest in electronics.

recently need some help with a project maybe you guys can help.

i need a time delayed circuit in 12 volts setup.

the project working:

1. 12 volt current is started to a motor, the motor has to first rev forward direction for 4 seconds , then stay stopped for 20 seconds, and then again reverse motion for 4 seconds.

this operation on continuous 12 volt current is on.

2. 12 volt current is started to a motor, the motor has to first rev forward direction for 4 seconds , as soon as the current is stopped then again reverse motion for 4 seconds.

all the tech gurus pls help me out.

thank you all

Afnan,

I can certainly help. However how do you plan to build it.

A technical question - how big is the 12 volt motor. Do you have any info about its current rating.

Can you share the purpose of the project?

Aurangzeb

Dear Aurangzeb ,

Actually I am trying to fix this circuit to the car side view mirror.

I am trying to lower the glass when reverse gear is engaged. Lowering the mirror takes 4 seconds.

On disengaging the reverse the mirror has to go back up once again at original position or in any case after 20 seconds.

I would be grateful to you for your help.

What stuff I need to build such a circuit ?

Thanks
