MSI 9500gt 1gb graphic issue

I just bought the MSI 9500gt 1gb and I am not really satisfied with it

It run games but graphic quality is poor, I am using it on ASUS board. Will this have effect?

Or I have to change settings, I didn't changed the settings when installed the new driver

u dont need to change settings thru nvidia control panel...configure settings thru game options like increase resolution and visuals etc...

Yea, I know it dont

Gonna try more games

Bought today

Mirror’s edge

Fear

Stalker

Halo 2

Try Gta IV.

^

I have seen on youtube ppl playing gta IV with 9500gt and the graphics are good

Will try it soon

Today, I installed stalker and it was lagging too much

I changed the quality to low and then the game speed got faster

But I want to know why was it lagging? Because of gpu or Processor?

I am able to play on high graphics too without lag

I figured out, I had changed the nVidia control panel settings to max quality and now i restored to default that is "let the 3d application decide" and now it works on high without lag

But tell me why game lag

Is it gpu or processor?

I have bought an expensive c2d and I am getting worried

And also stalker has recommended gpu requirement of 256mb and mine is 1gb, the game shouldn't even lag on maximum quality settings

Hey are you copy pasting from other sites Sohel001!

9500 gt is not a gaming card! its a very low end card!

Get a geforce 250 or ati 4850 at the very least for respectable gaming

@evil dust

1GB card ... lol.

Its a piece of crap.

Memory doesnt matter, the chip does! Sell it n get a decent 512MB 9600GT or HD4670!

I was low on budget that’s why I purchased this card

I will upgrade soon and even 9500gt isn’t that bad

I get average fps: 28 on GTAIV on Highest settings

Don't be offended by what others say, you have a good budget card.

As for your question regarding "processor or GPU":

Although both go hand in hand, GPU matters more when it comes to gaming.

Keep resolution to 1024x768, and the rest of the settings to medium (Anti-aliasing low, and shader low/off) to high and you might run games at 40FPS+
