of Maxcom and one of the techs there remarked
that ever since PTCL bought Maxcom, Maxcom
has stopped giving new connections. Now people,
according to him, are dying to get a Maxcom con-
nection, but aren't able to.
I told him how Maxcom continues to advertise in
journals, magazines, on FM radio stations, etc.
He was taken aback and had no comment. I wonder
why he would say such a thing, being in the thick
He further elaborated that Ali Maskatiya sold Maxcom
after the death of his father (may he rest in peace),
since he had to look after the larger business interest
and had little time for Maxcom, his baby, any more.
