Power is out since 1 PM here. When I called KESC helpline 118 they asked me to wait till 4:30 since there is dumping going on in the area. What is dumping?
1) Sever all ties with, usually unceremoniously or irresponsibly
"The company dumped him after many years of service";
"She dumped her boyfriend when she fell in love with a rich
2) Sell at artificially low prices
3) Drop (stuff) in a heap or mass
"The truck dumped the garbage in the street"
4) Fall abruptly
5) Knock down with force
It means all the bad things
So you should think of dumping KESC.
When an area is out of power for very long and KESC knows that it will take even longer to restore the supply, then this area is provided electricity in short intervals for about 2 to 3 hours by shutting off some other areas' power. Thus "dumping" the load on those areas.
They must have been dumping electricity from your area to here in dha phase 2 , no load shedding in last 32 hours or so or even more.
