Ismail Tara vs Majid Jahangir

Hi,

I few days ago Express News aried a program in which Ismail Tara and Majid Jahangir were invited as guests(those guys from famous PTV comedy program 50 50). I read it in newspaper that they initially greet each other and meet well but later it turned ugly due to which they had to cut the program in between. Does anybody know which program that was?

Thanks

lol

now artists have start fighting.

I happen to catch this one. Typical Express News

exploitation ploy. Both anchors were slyly egging

them on.

I salute Ismail Tara who despite continued provo-

cations from Majid Jahangir, kept saying that 50/50

was a joint effort and the credit for it must be

shared among all of it's performers and behind the

scenes team.

It was Majid Jahangir who kept insisting that it was

he and he alone, who carried the show, got the

Husn-e-Kar'gardagi Award and without him, Ismail

Tara could do nothing on PTV. Very insulting and

uncalled for.

It was also recently reported that Majid Jahangir has

decided, once again, to leave Pakistan for USA. He

has not been able to earn a living here and was not

offered loans/grants from the Govt, as an actor of

his calibre should have, in his opinion.

On the whole it was sad and pedantic. It does not be-

hoove actors of their calibre and body of work, to

engage in such needless, pointless, petty little

arguments on-air, for everybody to see.

Again, Ismail Tara came out the better man. He did

get some digs in, but only when he was pushed to the

wall by Majid Jahangir. Who btw, should be pitied. For

he has not been able to come-up to his own expecta-

tions it seems and is angry and resentful, more at

himself, than anybody else.

I hope they can get past this bickering and start doing

some work again. There is so much room and freedom

available today, for their kind of smart, witty satire.

All the anchors at Express News have same agenda, In this particular case i think Ismail Tara is right, he had done dozens of other memorable roles and truly deserves Lifetime achievement award etc, where as Majid Jahangir is only known for 50/50, and in my personal opinion he acts very poor too.

It's a co-ed anchor team consisting of Maria Zulfiqar

and Asadullah Khan. It airs at 8:00pm on Monday.

Maria Zulfiqar was better placed at Express 24/7. Her English is much better her اردو

I am also looking forward for watching it online

spectators :)

Let them live their life and don't advertise it so much that a permanent fight erupts b/w two actors.

The problem is we haven’t prepared enough Pakistanis

in Pakistan, who understand English.

If Express 24/7 and other channels like DAWN and Geo

(English) were able to generate enough revenue outside

Pakistan, there could be jobs available for girls like Maria

and Saima Mohsin. Talented and well-versed in English.

Could prove to be a real asset for Pak interests abroad.

But their owners are looking for the short buck.
