Is any dsl modem that does not needs power from adapter available

does any 1 know about dsl router / modem that need no external power (gets it from usb)

coz internet gets disconnected when light goes

There are some 3g router which are battery powered http://www.google.com.pk/search?client=opera&rls=en&q=battery+powered+router&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8 or else you may setup a POE as shown in this video

PS:Sorry you need electrical power for POE.

I know of one DSL modem that is powered through USB:

This is the one MBL used to give out some time back (not sure if they still stock these).

It doesn't have any Ethernet ports, so you can only connect it to one PC at a time.

there are also modems which take power from phone line...

so no adapters or power required...

ya i have heard that a phone line has from 50-70 watt power so it is good idea if self power modems r available in Pakistan

All major companies provide http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_line_communication equipments . It can used for Internal networking instead of laying a new Ethernet cable you can use your current power lines.
