IP Address Conflict

#1

Hi,

I am facing problem of unidentified network. After 2 minutes it displays System Error Message of IP Address Conflict. If I use below below settings, then it still doesn't connect to internet probably because of DNS error:

IP Address: 192.168.1.2

Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Default gateway: 192.168.1.1

Preferred DNS: 202.125.132.12

Alternate DNS: Blank

Sometimes internet works properly by resetting modem.

Please note that I am using ZXDSL 831CII modem without any setting just pluged it and i have connected 2 computers to this modem but 1 computer is used at a time.

Kindly suggest some solution.

Usman

change your ip setting to auto. both for ip setting and dns.

otherwise set your ip address on 192.168.1.2 and other computers ip 192.168.1.3

other computer either on or off. it reads ip. but auto is best for you. both pcs set on auto.

These dns are best for ptcl dsl.

203.99.163.240

203.99.163.243

If your IP Settings are set to Auto in router then you should also set the LAN settings to “Obtain an IP address automatically”. Try using DHCP enable in both router and computer. This should resolve your issue.
