Invalid username/password

#1

What is the cause of this error?

Whenever I try to connect to PTCL DSL (PPPoE) connection in windows

I get this error of invalid username/password a number of times

of-course the password is saved and after a while It just connects itself using same password

#2

any help?

1-disconnect the dsl from 192.168.1.1 (modem profile) i.e delete all wlan port profiles

2-then try to connect the dial-up DSL connection. using username:your_landline_number & password:ptcl or 1324 (if it is not changed).

This is a common issue at PTCL end, may be firecruz can explain it better.

even from the dialup pppoe connection it gives the “invalid error” 3-4 times before connecting and sometimes it just keep on giving the same error continuously and does not even connect

I wonder what’s the problem and why doesn’t ptcl fix it

it is really annoying
