Once you were wondering that why do you need to setup a webserver, in your thread at http://www.wiredpakistan.com/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=167796#p167796

Now that’s where you need to setup a webserver to run .php files on your computer.

#4

i mean do we have to install a software to run php files, if yes then what are they?

hey buddy, lets make it simple . download wamp server , simply install it.

www.wampserver.com/en/

If you installed it in C it will be like

C:/wamp/www

put your files directly into this folder or make a sub folder , depends on you.

and then browse http://localhost/ in case you put the files in www folder and http://localhost/subfolder/ in case you put the files in subfolder.

the server will process the php and show you what it got.

Make sure server is online by right clicking on wamp icon in task bar and check PUT Online.

Hope it works

Thanks

i am not a webdeveloper yet, but those people who have their personal sites like for example …www.xxxaslam.com , they don’t have a server ( they are not expert in web development) and they still can edit and put content in their sites, i am talking about that thing!

You have to learn few things, first, all websites are not self-made by users. There are plenty of content management systems, where you don’t need html/css/php or any web development knowledge to deal with. You can simply edit and post your data as you are working on a application. Then there are Blogs like wordpress and blogger which helps you to make a Blog site which is quite common now a days.

Moreover there are site builders available with paid hosting where you can create yourself a web site without any knowledge.

you must decide what sort of website you want. then choose what best suit your need and implement it.
