High Temperature

im using 3.0ghz ht on D101ggcl motherboard . some time my processor's temperature increase upto 90'C :s . i heard that there is some kind of software available which can control the Fan Speed of your Procy .

so anyone's know about software or how to decrease temperature ?

there is a speed fan but i think fans have auto control ie:when temperature increased the speed of the fan also increased. you can also remove the side covers of your casing for better air flow.

I tried Speedfan but it didn't detect any of my fans on the Intel board.

well fan speed should be going up automatically when temp goes high (even without any software)...

clean your fan make sure there is no dust accumulated in it...also check what speed fan is going at when it hits these temperature (you can do this from BIOS on some mobos)...

I am guessing your processor is P4 Prescott core..

They run at 115 Deg C Load Temps.. so it's pretty normal.

Same here , remove the heatsink clean it (using a blower) and wipe out the thermal paste and apply new thermal paste. you will see a decrease in temperatures

ya i suggest you lap your processor with a new thermal paste...

i have Intel Pentium 4 - 631 Ceder Mill . the default temp of this procy is between 40'c to 70'c .

i clean my Heatsink , motherboard and power supply . Remove maximum dust as i Can but still it has 70+ temp :/ .

Thermal Paste ? u know buddy there is not any "Arctic Silver" (or something like this paste) available in Karachi :s .

where do i found thermal paste ? how much its cost ?

^I know! I get thermal paste from my local computer vendor for free , they get it from bulk chinese heatsinks (for P3s). not nearly as good as the arctic silver thing but it works

Its some white color fluid in a very small pack

see this to see how to apply thermal paste:

the right way is to clean the current thermal paste with some tissue and then apply a bit of paste on the processor and put the heatsink on the processor and it will automatically spread

where to buy ? Uni ? Naz ? Regal ? Techno ? any specific shop who sale local chinese brand Thermal Paste ?

^try any local computer shop

yup you'll find it easily at UNI .

Can someone let me know that what does remote temperature indicate in SpeedFan software??? Its always above 60'C for my PC these days. I m getting worried abt it.

the usual problem , dust

^ No, it shouldn't b... i recently cleaned my PC using a blower.

than its the power supply

Well i am also monitoring my CPU temperature from 3 days and it goes up and goes up while playing games and even watching youtube videos in full screen. I cleaned the heatsink and all the mobo but it didn't helped. I have Pentium 4 HT 3.2Ghz.

When the temperature goes up the fans start moving very fastly. Now i bought some thermal paste packets and gonna apply them tomorrow. Let see what happens..
