Help me! an uncle on my tail

my uncle ( chacho ) wants toget a connection out of wateen line. :/

i was calling him off by sayin my device aint workin right :| . now when ive got jupiter he'll be wantin 2 get the connection.

how can i limit his connection without starting a server

ruhaan mentioned somthin called RESET FLAGS tht would work 2

i just want him 2 becum fadup and his old connectoion back :P

Well you could use a router, install Tomato as its firmware (http://www.polarcloud.com/tomato) and employ some traffic shaping to limit his connection.

or just do something from your wateen cpe like blocking ports like port 80 and saying him that i don't know what the problem

yar but how can i block port on a single ip???

router, man wouldnt i requir 2 buy 1 :/

like the port forwarded for a single ip isn’t there a function for port backwarder? :D

check if it has some features like that?

no i dont think that you can install tomato firmware on that

or if you want to slow down his speed install some soft like netlimiter on both and remotely control your uncle’s pc bandwidth

yeah yeah i just looked it up, i could give him a reserve ip then block sum ports on it

am i right in sayin port 80 and 8080 would do the trick??

port 80 and 8080 will block his browsing, but why not try it first

yaar i tried 2 do that when i tell the cpe 2 block port 8080 on tcp it says " Port Number is reserved. "

well actually from what i see in the pic you are forwarding the port (allowing it to be accessed on your pc) instead of blocking it

isnt there any option to block the ports in the cpe?

yar i think by unchecking the enabled option we are disabling the port

and no not that isee

the indoor model hat lots of crap like web filters and etc. etc etc. this one nothin :(

yar do u have crack of that NetLimiter
