yup bro its illegal…PTA has not passed regulations about it yet…and there have been many raids by FIA on places/firms where its been used…and kamran1x1 if someone is selling something it doesn’t mean tht its legal or illegal…otherwise alchol would be legal according to you in our country since its sold quite widely…duh!

#9

BTW selling VOIP products doesn't have any restrictions....

BUT that doesn't satisfy the fact the VOIP itself is allowed...

Don't mess with two different things

There is a ban on using VOIP at all... just call PTA or PTCL-BB helpline to get details on it. That's why you get other ways around to use VOIP.

Also Saying that "only international calls weren't allowed" is just not understandable why we'd use VOIP otherwise...

Specifically to the question "Isn't VOIP illegal in Pakistan? "

A: Yes it is. "illegal"

#13

As far as I know, you can make local calls through internet (By local i mean within Pakistan). I will confirm it again 'Lifer' but i am 100% sure that there is a ban on making calls outside pakistan.

#14

And when is this ban going to be lifted?

#15

i have no idea when it will be lifted.
