Getting DishTV in Pakistan?

our cable operator is a !@#$%^& he didn't provide us good resulted channels so i have decided to get a DishTV for home use but don't know how much its cost and how to pay its bills, i heard that it also have Pakistani TV channels? Please help Thanks

dish tv is not available here, it is only available in india, if you want service other than the local cable wala tou could go for ptcl smart, wordcall tv or wateen tv

.. watch the language, no abuses else u will get banned

DISH TV is available in pakistan. If u are in Islamabad u can buy dishtv from Rawalpindi Imperial Market.I think Dishtv decoder is around about 12,000 Rs.

and you have to buy additional subscription cards.

for package info http://www.dishtv.in/

good luck

man if you are in lahore defense then you are a happy dude... cuz you can get wateen cable with it's cable internet... their tv is very ver good... all the great channels... and the best thing is that you don't have to tune the channels according to your preference i.e if you want al the sports channels together or the movie channels together... as they already have it that way

Tried Googling it and the following link came out, seemed useful to me:

1. http://www.satsig.net/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=ivsat-asia;action=display;num=1188056705

Hope it helps :)

But, on the other hand, there's another link from this very forum:

Do read this one also.

I have dishtv in Lahore. Great quality . No pakistani channels though. Id say around 20 to 30 good channels all the rest are indian news or indian drama channels.

I got mine from India much cheaper than getting it in Lahore. Also I tried using a local credit card for payment it wouldnt go through ....tried a foreign credit card wen through no problems. I d actually recommend Tatasky same channels much better interface and as far as i know pakistani credit cards work

Yeah you can get it easily,I would recommend you to buy tatasky instead of dishtv, the priceof dishtv is around 4,500 to 5,000 with few months free subscription whereas tatasky is bit expensive ,I didn’t check the recent rates of the STB(decoder). You can recharge the account via credit card or you can pay the dealer from whom you’ll get the subscription.

r3bell>>do have a list of channels for dishtv

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to watch different channels on separate TV sets in one house hold using one satellite receiver ?

Yes. Your decoder must support dual view for that. Otherwise, no.

TataSky isn’t easily available in Pakistan buy DishTV its better then TataSky

i think dishtv and tata sky wont work coz of satellite footprints by satellites
