Getting 1.5 Mbps on 4 MB Unlimited connection

hi

as per various speed tests conducted using wired connection on pc using (chrome/firefox/opera) and from few mobile devices i am not able to get down speeds above 1.5 Mbps and up speeds of .3 Mbps on my 4mbps unlimited connection.

Your port has been downgraded from 4MB to 2MB.

Aside from that, your line stats are also borderline.

Call 1218 and tell them to upgrade your port back

to 4MB. Note down your complaint number.

what information gives indication of my line being at 2mbps ?

snr is damn low …

@jhagra:

It looks like you are on a copper line. That would explain,

not only the low SNR, but also the low Power, high atten-

uation and errors.

jhagra_bad_line_stats.png

But what copper line is not responsible for, is the fact

that you have been downgraded to 2MB. Your "Down-

stream Rate" is 1965 Kbps. This should be 4096 Kbps.

Your "Upstream Rate" is 415 Kbps. That should be

1020 Kbps. So you have much bigger fish to fry then

SNR or error bits.

PTCL is making you their Maternal Uncle.

there was a little cut in the telephone wire . reconnected it and getting below statistics.

speed test shows 3.6 mbps down and 1.3 up.

^Stats look great. What about browsing? Webpages load faster or a bit slower?

I've found Mobilink 3G to load webpages faster than my DSL.

Browsing is just ok.

Stats seems to say that it is connected at more then attainable rates.
