Hmm, no offense but your words convert this thread into more “Internet Explorer hate” thread than “Firefox love” thread. You don’t have to hate anything to love anything.

By the way, I use Firefox for my day-to-day web browsing. However, I also use Opera and Internet Explorer. None of leading web-browser is “bad”. Each have their own pros and cons.

Happy surfing!

Fe-Aman Allah.

I completely agree with you. I’m not a big fan of Microsoft products but if you want to ‘love’ something, don’t love it for the sake of hating its competitor!

I hated I.E since day one. Used to use Netscape and then switched that for Firefox. After using firefox for a week or two I.E 7 looks annoyingly useless. Too simple, without important browser addon's like spell checkers, toolbar bookmarks & generally faster speeds. A little better security too perhaps

#11

no offense but only noobs use IE

#12

I don't even browse the internet on a pc without Adblock Plus installed on Firefox. The new beta is pretty good, the upcoming beta 4 will hopefully be good enough to switch to full time.

Is that like the ghetto version of the Safari browser?

I don't like IE because.. umm.. it sucks!

BTW IE8 beta is out. Has anybody tried it? I scanned through it's main features and it offers nothing significantly new, nothing that other browsers don't already have

Its also very unstable. I read a review article with the title ‘Crash…Restart…Crash’ !! haha

IE8 has massive improvements in CSS and Javascript/DOM - including the handling of AJAX requests. That should lessen the headaches of some developers when there's a wider adoption of IE8. Although, it's far from perfect; wish they just followed w3c standards instead of pushing their own crappy ones.

Another great news for web developers is this:

http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ProjectName=ie8whitepapers&ReleaseId=580

I'm sure a lot of web developers are familiar with FireBug - I for one, find development bothersome without it. Now here we go, Microsoft is almost completely copying Firebug in terms of functionality. Way to go M$, as usual

why arent diffrent version of firefox counted sepratly like with IE?

I don't really know why different versions of Firefox were included may be because Firefox isn't in market for long. Tho its in market since 2002 but its name was Phoenix then it became Mozilla Firebird and in 2004 it was Mozilla Firefox and version was 0.8.
