well the easiest way i can think of is to RAR up all ur files that you're going to write on the CD, then password-protect that compressed file and burn it onto the cd. that way, even if someone copies that file, s/he wont be able to use the data.

make a image of it... most common software is Alcohol or Power ISO and then burn that image to a cd or dvd.... it also work if u just wana copy cd/dvd u can mount it via deamon tools.... i always make image of any dvd that i rent and then play it....

he wants to protect the data?

Take a look at http://www.macrovision.com/products/1154.htm?link_id=topnav

But your best choice is to use other data protection solutions like encryption, RAR with password, changing the extension etc. They will not stop your data from being copied, but the data will be useless to the other person.

No bro. He wants to MAKE protected CDs/DVDs which can’t be copied.

Well most schemes of CD/DVD copy protection work by tricks & hacks that prevent popular CD/DVD copying softwares from working correctly.

You can read about the technology and softwares at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CD_copy_protection

well if the disc can be read it can be copy pasted so the best solution is to use the rar password solution

TZ would be enough for basic protection from normal users. If you need a little bit more, you can use both TZ and WTM as mentioned in the following topic (which you probably would have read already?)

1.Install WinRar if you don’t have it already.

2.Right Click on the ISO, then "Add to Archive"

3.In the window that opens, then from the box “Split to volumes, bytes”, select "DVD+R"

You’ll get two RAR files which can be burned on two DVD+R, and when you will need to use them, Run the RAR from first DVD+R, then when asked, insert the second DVD+R to complete the decompression.

you can compress if its video! or if its game dvd then you customize the installer to use to dvds in such a way that when one dvd is finished installing it ask for other! (i have never done anything like that though! it is a advanced task)

dual layer dvd are so expensive!
