Buying a Micro-ATX PC Case in Karachi

Guys,a ny clue where to buy the smallest possible mATX casing with the power supply... I dont even want one with a CD drive place. Plus how do I identify if its mATX or ATX? Any cheapo place to buy second hand stuff like this in Karachi. I am determined to even search thru scraps :P

the main difference in micro atx vs atx is the size. micro atx is smaller and has less pci slots.

now the kind of casing you buy will depend on the size of your motherboard. a micro atx mobo will fit into a atx casing but not vice versa.

No need to search through scraps :) as I have 2 second hand micro atx casing for sale (second hand of course.) One has a power supply with it. the other one does not.

let me know your contact info (email, msn or cell number) and i can contact you with the details, if you are interested.

ThermalTake Armor A30 casing is available at Media Intl., Islamabad, for PKR7600. AFAIK, a power supply is not included.

Ewww. That looks hideous. I am also looking for a small form factor casing.

^^ a casing with so many holes :P

buy a normal casing and use dad's drilling machine to make such a casing

I surely am interested in buying them. Post up some pics of these chasis you have got and your offer as well. Please note I am looking for something like one in the pic below. It can be wither tower or desktop but it needs to be slim.

Gorgeous casing and reps for posting about it. Only thing is its too expensive.

To those of you wondering about the holes, they are there to improve airflow and keep components cool.

The OPs question is a very good one. I too have been looking for HTPC type casings. Strange that these casings aren’t widely available even though most mobos sold in Pakistan are cheap m-atx ones.

What are your requiements

and budget?

AS I said I am looking for a cheapo solution, however clean looking. Just a simple PC case for just the mobo, ram, power supply and hard disk for internet and basic stuff, no CD/DVD Disk Drive.

It would be grateful if someone can direct me where is this specific PC Casing market in Karachi, be used or brand new ones.Just slim and minimal.

Just buy a regular chinese casing with a cheap CoolerMaster PSU and two chinese fans for cooling

Zazzyo: I got really busy at work and did not have the time to post pics here, anyways I have a case similar to this:

case 1

974566-a.jpg

the above's condition is 8/10

features:

The space-saving design provides a different solution for each individual, office and company. It has space for 2 cd drives and one floppy drive. This case is specially designed for Micro ATX motherboards, Also, four expansion slots extend system use and increase flexibility. Places for 2 small fans are provided although no fans come with the casing.

case 2

the other one is even smaller then case 1 and only has a space for one cd rom. condition 7/10, shell has gotten a little rusty.

one fan case provided. one more additional fan can be added

one ps is provided (20 pin only)

Accepted payment methods: cash

if interested let me know,as we are both in karachi i dont think it will be a problem to meet up.

and by the way how much is your budget to buy a case?

Go to (i i chundrigar road)

and visit

Uni center

Uni plaza

Techno city

Plenty of shops with mini sized casings
