Budget PC for a friend

AoA

My friend asked me to build him a budget PC...his budget without the graphics card is 33000...i suggested the following:

Intel Core i3 2100 3.1 Ghz 3 Mb cache 11200

Intel DH61WW motherboard 6500

Corsair 2Gb 1333 MHz XMS3 RAM (CMX2GX3M1A1333C9) 2500

Western Digital Caviar Blue 500Gb 7200rpm 16 Mb cache (WD5000AAKX) 4100

ASUS/HP DVD RW 1800

Cooler Master CM Elite 333/334/335 ~3300

Cooler Master Real Power 500W RP-500-PCAR 3700

In addition, he intends to get a rdaeon 5770 later...so any opinions abt this build...possible compatibility issues....issues with PSU ( i thnk 500W would be enuff as i m currently running a core 2 65 nm, 4850 and 4 HDDs with the same PSU so i thnk the PSU is enough)...thanks!

everything looks good, except for the power supply, I would recommend the antec ea 500 (for 3800 rs). Antec is a better power supply and is 80 plus certified which the cooler master is not.

A branded pc casing is far musch reliable that cooler master.

Let him buy a new branded pc , refurbusished one from karavhi with 6 month warranty .

And another thing , Buying a branded and then upgrading it is always more effective , one gets more performance boost thatn custom build ones.....

I 100 percent disagree with cefspan here. You can get so much more and choose your parts in a custom pc. Branded pc's in Pakistan are expensive as compared to what

you make in a custom pc. Just look at the prices here of branded pcs:

http://www.czone.com.pk/html/products_new.htm

.............................................................................................................

the buyers budget is 33 thousand, and if he is buying a new branded pc (h,p compaq, dell) then for for almost that amount of money he will get this new pc with this specs:

Hp dx2390MT

INTEL DUAL CORE 2.70GHZ E5400 PROCESSOR, 1GB DDR2 MEMORY, 250GB SATA HDD, DVDRW, KEYBOARD AND MOUSE, DOS.

compare this to what he is getting in a custom build pc

Core i3 2100 3.1 Ghz 3 Mb cache, Intel DH61WW, Corsair 2Gb 1333 MHz XMS3 RAM, Western Digital Caviar Blue 500Gb, ASUS/HP DVD RW 1800, CM Elite 333/334/335 ~3300

CM real ps.

the proceesor is much much faster then a dual core, the ram capacity is double and the hard drive capacity is also double,,,so the difference is clear

Branded pc's are hard to upgrade because sometimes the pci express slot is not there (in case of addition of extra card) or comes with limited options.

and there is no need to buy a refurbished branded pc because you are getting twice or thrice the speed and capacity of all the main parts in a custom one.

Would be agreeing with you, a branded PC seems to be much reliable then an ordinary costumed build one as to its available in a 6 to 8 months warranty period.

But that PSU will not support gaming card, for a good gaming card you must have at least 500W PSU, and tell me which branded pc is giving such PSU?

cant understand the thinking of people, why dont you go and buy for a branded piece apart for going for and building up a custom one. A branded one would cost you quite cheaper apart for going for a custom made computer....

A big budget PC

When i read the topic i was going to suggest some dell old models or IBM lenovo in range of 5000--6500... But what? 33000? pagl hai kya?
