Blasphemous cartoons, muslim boycott?

#1

what do users here think about calls to boycot danish products in light of the recent cartoon problems?

I personally think it is a waste of time and won't work... the only way it would work would be if Arab govts stopped all trade with Denmark. The danish govt would have to listen then.

I think there is no need of protests etc..Why don't we just ignore it..I mean they say that Muslims are violent and we then protest burn cars etc to show that we are Violent..

The big fish (traders, retailers, etc) need to stop carrying Danish products if it is to work. They are just not willing to do it.

This is such a ridiculous argument; if there is anyone who should be outraged it should be the Dutch Muslims not every one else. They have every right to say and do what they want, if you don't like it tough. Go dig yourself a hole and shut out the world.

The fact that everyone takes such a intolerant perspective on the issue, just pushes their buttons and makes them lash out (in this form) even further. Stop giving them the attention they so badly want and the issue goes away.

Here is a mind boggling fact for you: Did you know that within the central chamber of the US Supreme Court there is a statue of the Prophet bearing swords along side statues of Moses and Conficius? Where is the hullabaloo about that? See here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1573853/posts

There is usually an ugly motive behind every piece of propaganda. Open your eyes and dig past the surface and see what the things really are.

My analysis: Politicians have taken the central stage and have done so successfully for the past ~2 months; the mullahs start feeling insecure that their vice like grip on society is loosening, so why not put some fuel into the otherwise waning fire and bring them back as the topic of discussion. I fully accept the fact that I could be wrong, but the fact that mullahs are as much politicians as they are, tends to make me think I am reading this issue correctly.

Discuss away.

“How dare you call me violent! I’m gonna cut your head off, mutilate your family, and burn down your house for telling such a blatant lie!”

Ladin says POPE is also involved in this activity

If you are offended by them, don't watch them.

It can't get any simpler.

Could not have said it better.

Our mosques are active to flame people by distributing pamphlets, arranging mobs and stuff.

I think our media should ignore all this and stop shedding light on something which happened in Denmark.

in west they’re testing the limits of muslims, they want to inflame and stir our emotions and provoke us,and sadly we’re getting provoked and destorying ourselves, more then pope i suspect jewish/american neocons to be involved

basically from time to time they test if muslims hav any unity or not.

#12

our boycott of danish/dutch products won't work, we hardly import any thing that'd affect them, if the whole muslim world teams up then maybe it'll work, initially it did worked

but now its slowly and gradually back to normal

even that jp newpaper which started this mess have removed its appology

i am sure that JP newspaper must be danish version of Fox News, crappy racist news every hour on the hour..
